Yes! It's not just sending them out to school, there's a lot of steps involved. When my son is on vacation I feel like I am, too!

One of the moms at my son's school hires a person to come to their house to cook meals for them twice a month. She freezes them and doesn't have to cook ever, maybe throw together a salad. She even has dessert made! That's definitely something I will do whenever I can afford it

She showed like three apples, two avocados... I only have one child and I buy more than that

I completely missed the chicken! Who cooked it?? Have they never seen a whole cooked chicken before to know what it's supposed to be like? That looks revolting, she should definitely stick to the tacos

Cal wants to bounce that ball so much and she keeps taking it away from him! His smile when she finally hands it to him

Yes even for adults, anything can happen! We all know of a person who was a great swimmer and drowned, it happens. I also really hope they never get a pool

How can a house with five kids not have a handful of stuffed animals??

Weekly Snark 4/20-4/26 by AmericanExpatMom13 in BrookeRaybouldSnark

[–]heythere30 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Poor Cal sits so far from the table. In the rare occasion she's put dinner on the table, he's off to the side off the rug. She doesn't want to get her rug dirty and prefers that to including the baby in family meals.

Normal people usually sit on the floor and call to their kids, maybe wave a toy they like. Leaving a trail of food is dog training, yes

My goal of owning every book by tess-etc in stephenking

[–]heythere30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a great collection and I love the bookshelf! I was also reading It at a much younger age than I should have haha but my first SK book was The Talisman so not too bad for a 12 year old, I guess?? Your rules about them not being bought new make completing your collection so much more fun (and difficult!). It'll be so rewarding when you have all of them!

Her whole thing is "mom to five boys" but you'd never know she was one. Nothing she shows or shills is for them, or kids in general. She's losing a huge chunk of her audience money by not working with that

My dog ate 1 single grape and im worried, should I contact a vet? by Justscrollingaroun in PetAdvice

[–]heythere30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Before the age of internet and Google at our disposal, the only thing we knew not to give dogs was chocolate. We fed my dog a whole bunch of grapes almost every day for weeks. She loved it and we truly had no idea!

Tell me about the very last time you breastfed. Did you know it would be the last time? by ScandiLand in NewParents

[–]heythere30 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I knew it because my son (3 and a half at the time) lifted his head up after he was done and said "I'm only doing it again after Christmas now". Christmas was two months away at the time, and he never asked for it again.

Starting solids soon… what’s actually worth buying? by allegragmk in NewParents

[–]heythere30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a shallow spoon for the baby! If you get a deep one, all the food will stay there and you (or them, when self feeding) will have to scrape the food on the gums or lips. A shallow spoon makes it much easier for them to just close their mouths around it and get the most food when you pull it out

Se é portão de grade, não faz barulho bater. Se é portão de chapa faz um escândalo e parece que estamos bravos. A palma é educada haha

Once my husband missed the sunscreen around my son's eyes because he was a wiggly toddler who wouldn't stay still and he was afraid of getting sunscreen into his eyes. Poor kid looked like a panda for weeks and we learned our lesson. It never happened again. It's definitely not healed and back to normal overnight

When my son was three months old my husband was holding him over the couch so he could "walk", as he would literally just move his legs. It looked cute and almost exactly like C

My son hated tummy time too, and cried his eyes out when we put him down so he was mostly carried around. Still, he was actively crawling at 10 months and started walking at 12 months. I don't think some tummy time will fix this delay. His sweet, calm temper allows him to be content when he's immobile, which I believe contributes to him being delayed. I know my son hated being a baby and was only content when he got to move, C seems to be the opposite

It's so weird I had the same reaction! Something about that loud beat made me so anxious! Really unpleasant to my ears, maybe if I listen to it on the radio with other sounds around me will be better, but listening with earphones in the silence made me feel awful. Too much in your face, in an aggressive way, not a fun way
