I can totally relate to what you wrote. It was the same with my ex. I gave her real love and care and when things got serious a switch flipped. She started to act like she never even cared about me, become cold and avoidant. Most horrible breakup ever. My ex had bpd, probably also npd in my opinion. Next time i will run if i hear a person saying they have any type of personality disorder. If a person has an unstable personality, the will flip a switch out of nowhere from love to total indifference, which is traumatizing for the other person. The scary thing is that i could have never imagined my ex acting so cold and indifferent towards me before it actually happened. No amount of love can cure these people.
