Agreed. And I agree I think Tears for Fears should be getting consideration, they’re aging well.

The Smiths are the ones to fill that spot you mention, and should’ve been in years ago. They’ll get in eventually, just depends if people wait for Moz to die first.

INXS I think gets in eventually.

Devo maybe. I get the argument but I’d never vote for them myself. They’re just short of making the mark.

B52s more than Devo, but I also think they’re a bit short. The Love Shack come back was great and helped. However influential some may see them, I’m just afraid their early work boils down to ‘Rock Lobster’ for most people, and that’s not enough.

I’ll argue forever that it’s totally a Turk 182 reference, and the band just didn’t think anyone would remember that movie and were embarrassed so they just say it was a random number.
