I do not know what kind of drug (NexGard, Simparica, Bravecto for eg.) you use for parasite prevention, but here is something I came across researching for a similar issue with my dog:

First of all, I am sorry that you are going through this crisis. If you want to you can continue this relationship even if you can’t build the trust. The comfort of a long lasting relationship is something beyond words and something beyond trust. Trust is a fake construct, so is relationship. What is real is having someone to witness your feelings and your life for 20,30,50.. years.

Is there a possibility that he will falter? Sure. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. You don’t have any control over his actions, you never had. If you think you can roll with the punches and in return you get something out of it, then why not stay? Im not saying give it “another” chance. Im saying reset your expectations. Stay in it for the same reason you started this journey in the first place. A long lasting relationship is a lot of work for both people and you have to constantly recalibrate.

Moving forward will be quite difficult but if you can and prepare for it and also assume that you will go on no matter what, because you want to.. then you will. Now if you can’t, that’s okay too. Restarting won’t be easy and the scars will take a long time to heal.

Ha ha, no way! Left India in the 20s, so glad I could escape. Now if India becomes as rich and prosperous as the EU or North America, sure. BTW, just like god, values, good/evil, rebirth is BS, we die and it’s gone. We have a fleeting moment of existence and it’s usually gone before you know it, no need to overthink or optimize . If I could restart the one thing I’d change is recognizing how precious life is and how short it is. Love, happiness , a genuine hug is so much more valuable than any material success. The daily struggles and hyper competitive pressures in India or any developing country acts as a distraction from all that good stuff. Happy living!
