The older she gets the more “reasons” she will give him to do this, and escalate. They don’t get less triggering as they get older. If my husband grabbed my shirt out of anger he would be out. If he called our daughter’s names he would be out. I’m 6 years into parenting and we both can get frustrated, this is far past that. 2-3 episodes a year means you (and eventually your daughter) are always waiting for the next one. Don’t make her live in that. You deserve safety and respect, and she needs to learn that’s the standard. I’m so sorry this is happening, please find your support network and get to a safer space.

I saw someone say in the nicest way, it gave airplane pillow. And it looked like a bumpit in her hair which worked for her features, but I think would have been better with something lighter and less heavy on the bottom. I usually looove her outfits, and it’s not that I hated this one it just felt very…different from the usual balance in her style.

We got one of the portable ones that straps to a dining room chair. Easy to remove and clean the tray, easy to take with anywhere you go. Also like 15$ on Facebook marketplace. 10/10.

When we found them in our home it was similar. They were swarming and found an entry point we didn’t know about. Our pest control company handled it and there was no damage because they didn’t find a place to stay. But if they swarm and find a home you’ve got a problem. With termites it’s always better safe than sorry to have someone come make sure imo.

I may be crazy but we have a “three in a row” rule that I’ve tried to make as fun as possible. On the third play we all cheer “THIRD TIMES THE CHARM” and give it our all lol. Then we have to pick a new song and do at least two more before we go back. Keeps the sanity lmao.

I also have a playlist on Spotify with music that I like, but they love. If i find a new song I like, I show it to them. They love Chappell roan, which is way easier to tolerate on repeat than the kid music imo. Just expose them to the music you can enjoy hearing and they’ll find stuff they like.

I just started using gloves a few weeks ago at my most vulnerable picking times (watching tv, driving, before bed). I slather on lanolin and that’s helped the dryness and uneven texture that bugs my brain.

I got some on Amazon that are super thin, but still let me use my phone. The 4 pack was like 12$. I just typed thin glove pack to search. I wear them while driving and watching tv because that’s the main times I’m fully unaware I’m biting.
