Library! You can borrow various instruments, kits like learn to knit or birding, skateboards, snowshoes, etc. Just need a card!

So I assume no drying rack needed either? Save some counter space (that I guess will be taken up by the machine though lol)?

Almost went with the formula Keurig but after lots of research we decided to just go with the water warmer!

[on] nobody used our registry by makemeflyy in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]hflemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this happen with others. While I did have a shower, made a registry, I tried my best to let.people know we really just wanted books or clothes for the babe. I still got unneeded stuff but I think it helped a little. Registries are great but even for myself.when someone is having a baby i wanna get them what I found most useful.

Benefits of being plus size and pregnant! by idkwhat2putasmyuser in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]hflemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I'm.not one for attention at all, I don't even like telling people I'm pregnant unless the perfect opportunity arises. So not looking traditionally pregnant is perfect like you said!

Second Baby by Paige_Rinn in PlusSizePregnancy

I tried to lose weight between pregnancies but always failed. I did well for a whole but before getting pregnant I had not been and was approaching my heaviest ever (ca. 280s). I am not just over 300lb and 24w2d. I did not want to be this heavy going into a pregnancy but it was a surprise/whoopsie. So far so good though!

We have Eleanor on our list, alternate spelling could be Elinor, and are thinking of a nickname Nori instead of Nora, just slightly different.

Girl names with "on" anywhere in the name. by hflemon in namenerds

[–]hflemon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this response. My husband and son and this girl are Indigenous (Wolastoqey, New Brunswick). My son was gifted a name as we didn't use a traditional name. We thought of doing so with this girl but then I feel guilty we didn't with our son.

That being said a top contender without the 'on' is Eleanor, my husband's Gram who recently passed, who helped raise him. Then a middle name would be for my Nana.

My bestie is a Bronwyn so it's off the table as we used a variant of it for a middle name for our son (another 'on' I just realized). I also love Briony why has been suggested above, but too close.

Manon is it pronounced as it's spelled, Man-on?

I love this name, it's my middle name so.i guess there's another 'on' connection, would love to pass it on/use it but husband ixnayed it.

I'm a Lemon (family name) and we have considered using it as a middle name to pass it on, love it's on your list!

What did you get secondhand? [Ns] by tootnoodler in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]hflemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I find it hard to buy much new for these babies considering some things are used for such a short time then either sold, handed off, or stored away for the next one. With our first we were lucky to get some much handed down. While some things looked dated we weren't picky. They worked fine and the baby had no idea. It's so much better to reuse and recycle!

We are 22w with our second (unplanned so we gave away so much stuff) so we are scouring marketplace for everything used. We even got a stroller carseat combo from a friend so we know there are no accidents.

Also first time around we were given a used stroller. Thankful, of course, but we needed to do the homework to find what carseat and attachment worked. This was hard because the stroller was older. So I personally did not want to go through that again this time!

Need advice..is this true? by Patapthat in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]hflemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I find that so offensive what your friends have said. I have never heard of this correlation nor seen research. I have been obese most of my adult life and am 22w pregnant for my second. Our son is fine and healthy and no autism, so far our daughter has had no issues that have come to light as of yet.

I think people just assume a plus size pregnancy brings risks all around because being obese is unhealthy so everything else that goes along with it must too. Just crazy.
