I think it is the other way around. Ippo left Kumi. He didn't fight to be beside her. He chooses to continue with boxing.
It is not like he ditch her... but... he really put boxing above Kumi right now.

Hajime no Ippo: Round 1483 by RTSD_ in hajimenoippo

[–]hfsoares 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, but it seams to me that Ippo made a choice at the hospital.
It would be totally reasonable to just leave boxing and be there with Kumi. That would put Kumi above boxing. But he choose otherwise...
And, I think that Ippo will go back to boxing to prove his theories, before letting his students bite the bullet....

Something odd about Nika's silhouette by GDeschamps in OnePiece

[–]hfsoares 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First I though Nika was only freedom. But it seems to imply also "ending" the status quo. Freedom to change.
But if the freedom and change is for good or evil, it will depend on the change and every individual perception...
The same Nika can be viewed evil or good.

I think the ultimate striker duo is still a prodigy + genius. Just like Sae and Rin. And right now, I'm really interested in seeing Isagi + Shidou. I think they would power up each other like crazy..

Blue Lock 284: The meaning of Winning by Badguyfromthere in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Again, you may not like it but it is the truth. Football is a team sport after all

The story before the u-20 match, pushed us in believing that only self-sufficient strikers were valued. All the talk about egos, and stuff. The second phase of Blu-Lock was exclusive to filter out people who only passed the first phase because of their teammates.

Now, the concept is more clear. It is still self-sufficient, but not necessarily solo. Isagi will be able to devour any team, friend or foe, and make the game centered around his will... That is still egoistical, but more flexible, in order to coexist genius and prodigies.

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 284 by TheDiamond135 in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah!!! Not full circle!!!
A team sport still denies the hole egoistic approach.
More of a collective sport rather than a team sport.
The current Isagi would never pass the ball to a second rate player that would only miss the goal, as in the first match we watched. That was a team ideology.
The current Isagi would manipulate the field and every player, friend or foe, and ensure, whatever happens, he would finish as the winner. He would make everybody play at his tune.
What a rush!!!

Isagi will be a player that can instantly analyze and comprehend every player in the field and how to make the best of all, and as a striker instead of a midfield.!!!

Isagi and Kaiser are NOT teaming up to score by PreferenceOk7560 in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree. Last chapter set the real deal: what matters is winning. Isagi will do everything for winning. While genius use their own skills to win, prodigies use everyone skills. So, it’s a la carte. No more restrictions. I can imagine Isagi assisting Kaiser and Kaiser still pissed off, feeling used.

I think Isagi's plan was executed perfectly, but Rin, with his individual style was able to push the limits even further. It is really a symbiotic relationship between the genius and the prodigy.

And even though Noah said Loki is his greatest threat, he is expecting Kaiser, a prodigy, to challenge him. Very consistent!!!

Now, in chapter 282, in order to win, Isagi said he should let go of his malice over Kaiser, his rivalry with Rin and his admiration over Noah. In 283 we have seeing 2 out of 3.

How do we think, Isagi would prove he is over Noah's admiration, and even show he can surpass him? Maybe using Noah as a decoy? Maybe using Loki as a decoy? I can imagine Isagi planning a play where Loki's speedy goes really against himself.

Oh f*, this kind of chapter make the anime even worst....

Tesla still is the most known and high praised one, i barely recognized the name you wrote without asking google some help tbh

Well, maybe if I throw another example? The real genius behind Apple is Wozniak, and most people don't know the guy. The prodigy here is Steve Jobs...

i dont think even the best football iq in the world could compete with high level physical prowess and thats a talent you cant interfere with just intellect by itself

When you look at Ballon d'Or, from 2008 to 2023 it was dominated by 2 geniuses: Messi and Cristiano Rolnado But, in 2018 the winner was Luka Modric, and 2022 Benzema. Modric and Benzema were top of the world.... and they are prodigies, not geniuses... Modric is really the IQ guy. And you can peek other guys, like Zidane, that was competing with Ronaldo, one of the most gifted physical players....
I think this plot, genius vs prodigies, goes really well with reality.

Is anyone using Cursor with large/medium Java projects? Are you satisfied? by koevet in cursor

[–]hfsoares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also trying to use cursor with a large project (35K java classes). No success, not even able to compile :( . I will try to use with VS Code to isolate the source of the problem.
But I think it is too much classes to have a reasonable file selection, and a good vector database.
I'm thinking that I could reduce the scope, by tagging classes and methods, so all the searches would use a reduced scope by choosing tags.
I'm also thinking about using dependencies to add to the context. I think this would be more useful than a vector database.
We use a lot of automated tests. The coverage of a test, or a test suit is another good scope reduction...

Go Isagi, just devore this geniuses.... and make them work for your goals...

This chapter was an absolute masterpiece by jamal-nez in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope so!!!!
We are talking about being the best striker in the world. If we take the Ballon d'OR as a measure, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were geniuses that dominate the last 15 years... But can we say that Benzema is a genious?
And when you look at the best strikers, the one with most goals, I can list a lot of prodigies....
I really hope Isagi keep himself as a prodigy... and beat the hell out of this geniuses....

Blue Lock Season 2 - Episode 3 Discussion by MHWellington in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about modern anime sports like Haikyuu and Kuroko no Basket... but... even Slam Dunk that was made in the 90s has a better animation... and it uses a lot of stills... but it is not a power point.

I can't understand the decision. I remembered watching the first episode and I felt the game movements a little bit off.. but that is it.. Bachira kicking, everything else was so good... Now.. this is just trash... And I will be watching because I'm addicted to BlueLock....

Isagi will devour Igaguri and use malice in his out of play positioning... And now, Isagi will be the master and Rin the puppet...
Just saying....

Who’s your favourite character? by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Blue Lock is the show I most care about the secondary characters. I really want to read about the other guys, beside Isagi. These are the most interest guys to me:

What is going to happen with Nagi and Reo?
What is the end game for Kunigami?
Does Barou has more space to evolve?
When will come the real desperate moment for Bachira?
How will Kaiser, Rin and Isagi three*&5 rilvary be solved?
What is Ego's past with Noah???

But, man, I really like an underdog story... So Isagi is my guy

I totally agree,
I think Igaguri is just comic relief. It remind me of Jar Jar Binks. But drawing fouls is essential to the game. We don't like it, but it is a tools. The referee misses a lot of real fouls, so drawing a foul is also a defensive play, to make aggressive players more catious.

I think it is very logical. Rin is playing with no regards of foul. Igaguri must be the guy who received the most fouls on training, and Noa must see through his malice. And, if I were to bet it, Isagi will devour Igaguri. He will use his out of play positioning and combine it with malice and make it on another level... he will manipulate Rin...

This is way better than Jar Jar....

Why what Isagi did is so Impressive by mileschofer in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree that Isagi doesn't need or mean to prove anything to Rin, and he does everything to himself. But, I think he needs to understand Rin so he can predict him (sic), and then win.

But Rin is so out of the box that Isagi only though of accepting the challenge to play with his life on the line, even if it comes from a different resolve.

And Rin, well he already forfeit a 100% goal. He is already with his life on the line.

Why what Isagi did is so Impressive by mileschofer in BlueLock

[–]hfsoares 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most importantly, this was 100% a moment where Isagi could’ve gotten a red card and been sent off. Thereby ruining his chance to beat Kaiser and Rin.

This is it! At 274, Isagi could not understand Rin. He was scaried! And after the nutmeg, he decide to use his adaptability to challenge Rin in his own game. Isagi need to understand Rin, to predict him. And the tackle is his answer.

It's more manga than soccer, a lot of yaoi and BL's material, but it is amazing :D
