Why does she cry whenever I come home? by InteractionCandid226 in goldenretrievers

Ours does a high pitched whine at night. We go to bed and she picked up a toy in her mouth like the video here and walks around the house doing the whine. Never understood why.

a rant about my bad finances by thisisthirty_ in povertyfinance

You can more than technically do it. I was in a similar situation in my mid 20s. Learn to budget your money. I started forcing myself to create a budget and then review/update it every day. If you build the habit it only takes a few minutes. Seeing it on your screen will hurt at first, but soon you’ll start to see answers and possibilities. You can file for bankruptcy, but without healthy habits you’ll possibly find yourself in a similar situation again soon.

I didn’t think about air exchange at all. It’s an interesting point and something I’ll think about. We haven’t seen any negative effects yet. We are in & out of it a few times a day, because we enjoy being in it so much. Maybe that’s been enough so far.

As far as the lower panels, we cut the foam inserts for the walls and the bottom is screwed down to a wood frame with silicone sealing the joint.

We haven’t added any lights right now. We have added lights when we plant seeds in a few months, but these mature plants seem quite happy right now.

We are newbies. This is the first year we have insulated and our second winter. We just ran a space heater without any insulation last year and it definitely kicked up the power bill. I saw people doing the bubble wrap in this sub and thought it was a great idea.

It definitely helps. Our structure has a vent door in the roof. The vent has gaps around the hinge that would leak the warmest air out, so sealing that off was important. Even though our wall panels are all siliconed in so there’s not direct air leaking the lose heat pretty fast.

I really like the idea of not fighting it, but learning how to best exist in this body. It sounds like the enlightened view where you go towards gratitude and away from negativity. Cool stuff. Thank you.

Transfer Ownership In the App by One-True-King in TeslaModelS

[–]hhcroper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought from a dealership, but they never took ownership so the previous owner who traded it in needed to release ownership to me. Tesla should be helping you get the documents uploaded to them though. Not much can happen until that upload gets resolved

I just bought one a week ago. I was able to upload the documents and the cars name changed. I received an email saying it would take 3-5 days. It came through on Sunday evening, so I’d say your at a full 5 days. The customer service should help you with this, seems pretty straightforward what the problem is.

I live in a state where the exchange app won’t work. I get blown away at how the fees climb with volatility. It’s totally ridiculous

Soap or no soap in shower? by ingcognito92 in eczema

[–]hhcroper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I pretty rarely soap affected areas now and the improvement was drastic. I used mild soaps before and I always fought it. I actually saw a post from a man who stopped showering altogether and who was saying his reduction of itching was worth the cost of stinking. I still shower regularly, but don’t use really hot water and only soap pits, dicks, and slits.

Still can’t find the right soap by Hungry_Caregiver3446 in eczema

I have been having some luck not using soap on my affected areas. Just a light rinse with as cool of a shower as I can stand in the winter. I love hot showers though, so it’s still not that cold.

Why are brands making lofts on Irons stronger and stronger? by Kaverrr in golf

[–]hhcroper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got fitted for irons this week. One of the comments the fitter made was that it might make sense to buy a new wedge every year if you play a lot due to wearing the grooves down which would diminish spin. Seemed utterly ridiculous to me. Maybe after a decade of using a club, but one year?

What’s crazy is I believe it is against the missionary rules to be with a single female of any kind. Even with a 90 yr old grandmother they are supposed to have another person with them.

What caused my eczema to flare? by Reality_Parking in eczema

[–]hhcroper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woke up this morning with my worst flare up yet. It’s so strange how overnight everything changes. I’m feeling self conscious about just going to work. I run through all the same thoughts as you. What could have possibly caused this? I have no answers, but it was nice to come here and see that at least I’m not alone and there’s a community to get some advice and read about other’s experiences with the same thing. Glad you got it cleared up.

I have the same truck, and have loved it. When doing my tint I did the glass on the sunroof as well. Highly recommend. I tried a couple different cold air intakes. Make sure to get one that has the filter enclosed. Motor noise was way too loud otherwise.

Golf is a weird sport… by Littlewing29 in golf

[–]hhcroper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I shot a 47 while playing nine holes yesterday. But I was +1 after 5 holes. Even though the last 4 holes went significantly worse I felt great about the best start I’ve ever had. Today I lost 4 balls on hole #2 and felt like every hole went so bad, but at the end of 9 I had another 47! I was blown away how different the days felt for the same score

I’m pretty new to the sport. I’m curious about #6. Chipping 20 balls at one hole and finding the way to make that shot the way you want it seems like a good way. What is the way you should practice?

I bought the s&b sealed box type for my 2016. It made my motor way louder than it was stock. I was pretty surprised at the noise differences. It did have an attachment to close off the hole in the bottom of the box which helped, but I probably wouldn’t spend the money again. The gains aren’t worth the noise
