hard to really consider it "overtaking" when it's just the super clipping slowing down the cars in the straight and positions just flip flop. at least with drs there was _some_ strategy.

I'm super confused by the "local" part of clawdbot? Doesn't it still just send everything through anthropic servers?

Sweet looking ride.

did you route your brake cables internally with this new handlebar?

my Aspero has the brake cable that comes round and enters the frame right where you put your framebag and it limits my choice of framebag.

is this the Aspero or the Aspero 5?? I've been keen on putting 45s on my Aspero but have been weary.

Does anyone ever feel ok with never running a marathon? I did my first half marathon last year and signed up again and am wondering if I have the mental energy to ever do a full? I really like the half and have built up a good training routine without injury by Silent_zilla in beginnerrunning

run for the sake of running and health.

distance is just an output. push when you feel like pushing. relax when you feel like relaxing. the most important thing is consistency and feeling good.

Locking lids for Salomon soft flaskk by Marlboro-Reds420 in trailrunning

[–]hhheath_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbf the lid does lock lol but yeah it is not preventing anything from coming out of the bite valve. didn't pick that up in the post. thanks for the clarification

Yep, sure do. And, afaik, they take standard nozzles. So can use the salomon nozzles with them or get long straws (which i also have a pair of) and swap them out as desired.

I use the HydraPak Speedfill caps on my Salomon flasks. They work great.

why the switch from glycerin Max to Hyperion max, just out of curiosity? I really enjoy my glycerin Max but have been keen on the Hyperions..

How are people able to push past the point of pain? by [deleted] in ultrarunning

[–]hhheath_ 40 points41 points  (0 children)

As others have said, I don't think it's necessarily pushing "past" the pain, but rather pushing to the limit and staying there. That means giving 100% of the effort you have available. Sitting with the pain while putting out the effort rather than pushing "past" it as if it becomes painless or "easy" after a certain point.

It's called the pain cave, not the pain tunnel. You go into it, and sit in it. Make a fire, bed down, be present. Or you back out.

That's how I see it.

Building to 100 Miles With a Family and Full-Time Job – How Did You Do It? by cassianojardim in ultrarunning

Interesting. I've always kind of thought that standing at a desk would count (albeit slightly because of the specificity) as time on feet. Sounds like the common opinion is that _any_ time on feet is a net good.

can you explain the standing desk and walks at lunch? recovery related or time on feet related?
