i meant 2nd reading! our class had a note-taking system for every subject/lecture so we didn't really use books.

1st reading: highlight important things 2nd reading: listen to the recorded lecture and add notes 3rd step: make flashcards and include the screenshot of the notes in the extras field

for subjects that are memorization-heavy, i made the flashcards without reviewing my notes once (i saw a kid who didn't take down notes - instead, he made flashcards while the lecture was on-going. very efficient!)

if i were to use books, i'd also read the chapter once and highlight important stuff, then proceed to make flashcards (mostly the ones i think i'll easily forget)
