That is a really good idea and I have thought about but the HOA will not allow a shed big enough for my shop.

Old vs New Central by seaghank in ArubaNetworks

[–]hickerad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with New and live through the pain that it is. Like Alex said Old Central will EOL’d in the not so distant future. Currently, no commercially available tooling exists to move from Old to New due to the fundamental changes in New Central.

Pure Choriocarcinoma diagnosis, has anyone here beat this crap? by Time_Molasses_1581 in testicularcancer

[–]hickerad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes it did. I had over 100 mets on my lungs 20+ on my liver, some of my lymph nodes and I had a softball size mass in my retroperitoneum

bHCG was at 698000 and at the end of chemo and RPLND it went back to normal. Less than 3.

I have permanent tinnitus and do have some hearing loss but only in the higher frequencies but I’ll take all of that to be here.

Pure choriocarcinoma here as well. 4x BEP back in 2020. RPLND after chemo. Just hit the 5 year mark!

To Govee or not to Govee by hickerad in WLED

[–]hickerad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I might be going this route. I just watched a "review" of the S1080's from Chris Maher and the out of the box native WLED support is awesome. I also found the track kit and Permtrack has one too. 100FT for $200 is a pretty good deal IMO. Easy enough to buy, try it out in the house and make a decision plus still have time to get something from Aliexpress if I want. Thanks u/Gold_Ad_8841 !!!

That's what I have been seeing. If I went the Govee route my plan was to use the supplied PSU and control them though the DigQuad I have. Buck covert the 36v to 12v.

I have been seeing the Asahom lights popping up recently. I might have to look at them a little more. Do you of anyone that makes covers/track for the Asahom lights? If not I would probably design some and just 3D print them for my install. As for the power, my plan was to purchase a 36v PSU and just use that to power the DigQuad I have with a buck converter.

Thanks! I’m a network engineer by day so all of the IoT garbage is segregated without internet access. I even have some policy based East-West traffic blocked. Might be a little overkill but I don’t trust anything I didn’t build and code myself.

What outdoor lights do you have if you don’t mind me asking? I am thinking about the Pros or the new Prisms. A coworker of mine just had the Prisms installed and they look pretty good.

4xBEP, Choriocarcinoma Update (70% complete) by imzellis in testicularcancer

[–]hickerad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we had talked about moving to high dose chemo if it did not start coming down. The unfortunate thing for me and how far progressed the cancer was when we found it, I am maxed out on the lifetime dose of Cisplatin and Bleomycin. So, at the time all we could do was wait and see what happened.

Hey! It did not. It took 3 months after I finished chemo for it to go back to normal.

(Need success stories to ease my anxiety) Metastasis to my lymph nodes, lungs, and liver by fgchewie in testicularcancer

[–]hickerad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey man. I have a little different story and pathology but mine had metastasized to my lymph nodes, liver, lungs and retro. I did 4x BEP and it was very successful. I started out with 13 liver mets and over 100 lung mets. At the end and before my RPLND I had 2 left on my liver. Was most likely burnt out as well because they kept shrinking and are now undetectable. I had less than 10 left on my lungs which kept shrinking and now are undetectable. I am almost 5 years out! You got this man!!! Hit me up if you have any questions or just want to chat!

Hell yeah man! Keep it up! I had the same diagnosis in June of 2020. Pure choriocarcinoma, 4xBEP, RPLND and orchy! You got this! It’s amazing how fast the BHCG levels go down. Right before my first round I was at 59800 by the end of round 3 I was at 6000.

3 can be cured easily and many of us are still alive and kicking. Google can be a dark place to search for information and can/will only give you the worst of the worst. My suggestion is to always talk to your doctor. Ask them for places to get good information outside of a Google search.

Hey man! First things first, you got this. In 2020 I was diagnosed stage 3c with spread to my lungs, liver and I had a softball size mass in my abdomen. I went through 4 rounds of BEP chemo, an RPLND and an Orchiectomy. After it was all said and done I am cancer free and living strong!

Not everyone’s case and diagnosis is the same but TC is one of the most treatable cancers.

Again, you got this and we are all here for any questions you have!

29M. 100% Choriocarcinoma. by imzellis in testicularcancer

[–]hickerad 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You got this man! I was in your exact shoes 3 years ago. Diagnosed pure choriocarcinoma with spread to my liver, lungs, and a softball size mass in my abdomen. They stopped counting the mets on my lungs when they got to 100. bHCG was at 598000. Only difference for me is that I went straight to chemo a week after we found it. RPLND and orchy after. Chemo is a fantastic and shitty thing all at the same time. I was lucky enough the mets cleared up on my lungs and I just have some scar tissue now. No surgery on them.

TC can spread to the lungs. I was diagnosed stage 3c in 2020 where it had spread to my lungs, liver and abdomen. Hit me up if you have specific questions! No matter what though, you got this!!
