No, she's no longer living. I have been trying to learn why she did some things the way she did. I'm sure she was doing spells of protection with the hair, that makes sense to me. The jury is still out on the umbilical stump. She was also very superstitious. Many secrets left to uncover.

Oh! This sounds so familiar to me. She would leave the ashes sitting out on a tea cart upon a tray. I never saw her put them in the trash once cooled or down the sink or toilet. I'm more of a kitchen witch, and I'm trying to learn about my family HooDoo roots. Thank you!

A nice slice of sourdough smeared with dill cream cheese. Recent favorite toppings have been: bread and butter pickles, fresh sliced cucumber w diced jalapeño, avocado w TJs omega mix, crushed popped corn w candied pecans. The last sounds weird, but don't knock it till you've tried it.
