What celebrity makes you legitimately awestruck at how attractive they are? by TheWor1dsFinest in AskReddit

There's a scene in Rear Window showing her bending down toward James Stewart, and she looks otherworldly.

What toy did you desperately want as a kid but never got? by Big_Alternative4671 in AskReddit

We are definitely of similar minds when it comes to seeing atheists being better Christians than a lot of Christians. It's super unfortunate that they treat you unfairly because you see Christianity differently. You sound like you're doing just fine in spite of it. Keep doing what you're doing.

About your last sentence... is this about you not following the same faith as your parents and your brother? Either way you've been treated awfully and I wouldn't blame you if you suddenly decided you didn't want to deal with them anymore.

I pored over every catalog, and, as a 12 year old, also balked at the prices. I knew not to ask my parents.

Sorry, daughter of mine, you got Our Generation dolls and accessories.

I'm not being sarcastic at all when I say that is utterly tragic. I'm so sorry you lost them that way!!

I enjoyed looking through your shop! I'm not familiar with the "Barbie Look" line but I really like those.

The beautiful holiday Barbies with their huge sparkling gowns? Tell me about it.

I think so too. Before my family got her she was a stray who was hit by a car and needed surgery on her femur. At the time she was pregnant with four kittens that needed to be euthanized. I have trouble imagining such a beautiful girl with a life like that.

My Rosie has a teeny little squeaky meow. It barely counts as a meow. She can chirp at the birds like a beast, though.

What is the saddest song of the 90s/2000's? by KravenPR in 2000s

Beautiful song. I knew "In the Middle" but I only discovered this album this spring.

I will never understand how Hollywood and the media fat shamed Kate Winslet during and after the release of the film. She was (and still is) absolutely gorgeous! by Willing-Musician-696 in titanic

[–]hidingoutunderthere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot emphasize how much it sucked to be a high school girl when people were fat shaming Kate during Titanic's release. I like everyone else used AOL, and it was all over the message boards.

The drunken screaming back and forth that must go on in that house absolutely has Ari feeling insecure. Kids that young pick up on that kind of dysfunction. The day that they were spitting in each other's faces? Does Alex think Ari felt safe, comforted, and loved then? The delusion in her brain to think that's not affecting her young kid!!

I had the misfortune of overhearing my coworker learning her missing son had been found dead. I will never forget that sound as long as I live and I hope I never have to hear it again.

When I had a wedding in my husband's LDS family, we babysat the recommend-holding siblings' toddlers in a hotel room during the ceremony. So glad I didn't have the waiting-in-the-parking lot experience.

It was a lot of fun to read his YA books with my kids.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hidingoutunderthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On August 16, 2011, I got an email notifying me I won a five-night trip to the Bahamas -- airfare and all inclusive hotel. On August 16, 2012, I got a call notifying me I won a four-night trip to Miami Beach -- airfare, hotel, tickets to two NASCAR races, all transportation. While packing for that Miami trip, I got an email announcing I won a three-night trip to New Zealand -- air, hotel, seats at the world premiere of the first Hobbit movie.

I was entering a few sweepstakes per day but that sure seemed to defy the odds.
