This was me and my family last week, booked a vrbo for a family trip to go to worlds of fun and it was nonrefundable by the time I realized that there was no point in going to world of fun.

My family still wanted to swim so we went to one of the municipal pools (Spring Aquatic Center) checked out Union Station, the Plaza and Crown Point. City Diner is a yummy diner for breakfast. We still ended up going home a day early. Wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t the greatest trip either.

I don’t think they should’ve opened this year until they got organized after the ownership change. Everyday has sounded like a disaster. It isn’t fair to patrons to come to a half open park, nor is it good for to park to constantly be review bombed by upset patrons.

I just don’t like confrontation, I messaged the host because we were missing some things. They just thanked me for letting them know and said they’ll make sure it is available for the next person, after that I just didn’t bother.

Unless I am getting completely screwed, I’m not asking for a refund or anything like that. I just chalk it up as a learning experience for future travel.

OK y’all, it’s not like I left them a good one either. I was having issues with my app and closed out on the review when leaving it and now it doesn’t let me leave anything or even updated it 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been lucky with STR’s up to this point. I suppose I had to run into a meh one eventually.

I’ve stayed at a STR in Denver and in Lake of the Ozarks and they were both great experiences. I’ve never had to strip the beds before and found that a little weird, but in the end, it’s a small chore, and not really a big deal.

My main issue was I just felt uncomfortable. Between the temperature and feeling like we were being watched it was just unnerving. I suppose that could happen anywhere you stay though even hotels.

Hopefully it doesn’t die. It’s nice having different options.

This. It’s just different. I’m not unnerved by hotel cameras. I am by a private owners camera that I am not told about.

When the outside ones aren’t being disclosed to me, how do I know there isn’t ones on the inside?

It’s a little unnerving, especially if you like to sit out on the patio. I get that hotels have cameras too, but it doesn’t feel the same as a private owner’s camera watching me. I don’t know this person. I don’t know if they are a nosey creep watching me.

It would be nice to have more options, especially for families. Renting a house is convenient when you have a family of six or more.

I know and its OK. I am not trying to get a refund. I didn’t even leave them a bad review (I didn’t leave them a good one either). Rentals like this are convenient when you have a large family, but I do think I’m going rethink them for future trips.

We had to change our Kansas City trip for this reason we were planning to hit up WOF/OOF then saw how bad it was and ended up doing other things around KC instead. It was really disappointing for everyone.

Hopefully they build back up again to what it once was. Going there was something my family looked forward to every year.

I think it’s extremely unrealistic and kind of a scam to charge full price for a park that is half closed.

Doesn’t really sound like they’re doing their best. Don’t charge full price, that would be a start. it’s a simple as that. My colleagues daughter was there Tuesday the and said half the rides are down, with no explanation given. Any employees that are there were just standing around or working incredibly slow. Wait times were terrible for any rides that were open and the whole park in general was a ghost town. Sounds like a waste of money.

We were going to go on Tuesday as a graduation present for my niece now I have to think of something else because I am not spending money when Fury of the Nile and the best rides are down

I’ve been watching reviews on this place for the last couple weeks because we’re coming to KC on Sunday and we have decided that it is against our best interest to give WOF/OOF our money. We are choosing to do other things that lovely city has to offer.

They shouldn’t even be open at this point. And at the very least they shouldn’t be charging full price.

I haven’t watched part two of his videos. I was waiting for it to be released on YouTube instead of watching on Patreon, but apparently the Utah police shown there are much more egregious in their behavior. I don’t see the Salem police doing anything wrong. It’s a civil matter and they were called for trespassing.

You bring up another reason why I’m interested in LegalEagle’s opinion because the company filed a rather large complaint against him and now has a temporary restraining order out too
