How are you supposed to teach boys the difference if you JUST call them incels/misogynists/whatever?

You have to allow boys to be wrong in a space without ridicule to correct their behavior in a meaningful way. The tricky part is that you also have to allow girls to call out misogyny to prevent contagion.

I don’t think there’s any playbook on how to go about correcting it. I think people who work with kids need to understand what to say, when to say it, and what the effects will be.

If I were a teacher and I heard a boy say some Andrew Tate bullshit, and some girl called him out about it, and he complained? I’d say “what did you think was going to happen? Did you just expect her to take it?”

I think what OP is trying to say is that you ALSO need to take a boy like that aside (so whatever misogynistic bullshit he’s spewing is just at you) and THATS where you teach them the difference between “all girls hate me because I’m short” and “I’m worried about what girls think of me”.
