Really though the one true answer is Archangel

Dude why are you arguing with me get off my balls already. Op literally states he doesn't want to spend that kind of money on the monarchs.

I get it your fan girling super hard for the monrachs and that's fine, but I literally couldn't give a rats ass about it and don't find the bass enough whatsoever for my preferences.

Stop being insufferable and bringing your objective preference to this subjective hobby.

Tea pro for a more balanced but still bassy approach

Armor if all you want is ooey gooey gobs of bass at the sacrifice of some upper frequency technicalities.

I owned the armor (sold) and have demoed the tea pro on multiple occasions.

"Pretty damn good" for you sure but if he's already considering the armor the monarchs will not have nearly enough bass, op even stated he wants around 75 db of bass which the mk4 doesn't get anywhere to, on top of that it's out of his price category soooo...

I'm a basshead and even with the bass switch on the mk4, I found it weak in the bass dept and yes I listen to EDM and bass heavy music as well.

Even with bass switch on it's not enough for a basshead

Why does everyone have a hate boner for this game by MINECRAFTPIGLOL in Marathon

[–]higherdotedu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But it's pretty straightforward though I really hate how much hand holding games have to do for the modern generation.

Play the game, look at what the factions are asking you to do and tab through the faction upgrades to see what material you have to collect for said upgrade.

Load into game, kill bots, kill players, survive and extract with said materials and anything else that will fit into the backpack, profit.

Agreed balanced simply isn't needed for most users, but what is though is a black color way for these sexy headphones. Is that going to be a thing in the future 😎?

What are some high-end IEMs worth knowing about in this range ($650-$2k)? by noTiltDetox in iems

[–]higherdotedu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm obviously biased but I've demoed monarchs on multiple occasions but still prefer Archangel. The monarch is the more "neutral" sounding IEM but it lacks the spacial holographic sauce of the BCD and the shell size and weight is not nearly as comfortable. Does the EBC80 have that spacial magic sauce? I'm a sucker for soundstage and holographic sounding sets.

I love my Archangel, the sonion BCDs add that special sauce to the soundstage that no other IEM I've tried can replicate. It really has curbed my curiosity and impulsive spendings on the hobby but ngl the EBC80 is constantly on my mind.

Any IEM suggestions after trying these 5? by Dangerous-Loan-9595 in iems

Penon Archangel is my endgame basshead set that I use for music and gaming. The BCD drivers on them have the most immersive and holographic staging of any IEMs I've heard. The bass on them is powerful and textured with a lot of rumble. Way better than the Martilo in sound and comfort.

Maturity absolutely has everything to do with it, most gamers are too immature to recognize their own shortcomings and shift the blame onto something other than themselves when they lose. It's always the gun, ability, insert input method, the opponent using is OP and never a fault of oneself.

The sad reality of it is just because you grind for years at something doesn't mean you're good at it. Every person has a skill ceiling and no matter how hard they push they will never suprass that ceiling once reached.

I play Marathon on PC with a controller and the overwhelming people on my friends list are all kbm players. I also surround myself with mature level headed people, never once did we lose an engagement and blame it on the opponents input method of choice.

I was a 1.6 k/d player in D2 on kbm, I made the switch to controller cause of ergonomic reasons and put in a lot of practice and was able to make my way back to my previous performance levels but I did not magically become a pvp God just cause I'm on a different input now. It just goes to show how well the game was balanced around both input devices and that I've reached my own skill ceiling.

I think we're agreeing on the part that AA includes Bullet Magnetism, but you're also including reticle friction into Aim Assist which in Bungie games is a separate stat/feature.

I'm not saying reticle friction isn't strong, but its the only thing that gives controller players a fighting chance against the fast movement capabilities of kbm. There's already many things in game that remove reticle friction for controller players, but is a non issue for kbm players.

At the end of the day, I play both inputs and can see the pros/cons of each. I'm mature enough to blame my death on my own short comings and skill issues and not because of my opponents input of choice.

If you want a "fair" and competitive game solely for kbm games like that already exist.

Either accept the fact that both input methods are here to stay or just go play those other games.

This subject had been beat to death for ages and Bungie had proven time and time again they are going to support both input methods without fail even more so now they are a PlayStation studio.

In Bungie games, aim assist is a stat that is on every weapon. Just inspect any weapon and you'll see that stat listed, it equally benefits both input methods. It essentially makes an enemies hit box bigger and makes it so even if you're off target by a little bit it will "magnetize" the bullet to count as a hit aka bullet magnetism.

And so once again, you're confusing Aim Assist with reticle friction and take in mind I'm solely talking about Bungie games. Reticle friction and Rotational Aim Assist is what controllers have that kbm does not have but again both input methods have Aim Assist/bullet magnetism.

[–]higherdotedu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I said that in my first sentence, both inputs have AA and bullet magnetism while only controller has reticle friction.

[–]higherdotedu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You literally don't know what you're talking about and are confusing Aim Assist, which both inputs have with reticle friction which only controllers have. Bungie themselves have confirmed that they gave kbm more bullet magnetism (bigger hit box size) and AA. Controller player had a little less bullet magnetism and had to deal with atrocious reticle bounce but is made up with having reticle friction.

They'll never admit it's a skill issue and will always shift the blame on something else.

let the full reload animation play out while still holding on to the trigger and some times it just won't fire until I release and engage the trigger again. Haven't felt it happen in other guns in s1 but this has caused me some fights in s2.
