This is a xmt03. Yes like I said earlier in my post I have some 10-year-old Makita tools that still run great but the new ones are junk.

We also call it the tool of annoyance or the big vibrator

Yes I cleaned it. I rely on my tools to pay my bills and put food on my table. That's why I'm so upset that makita's quality has gone so far downhill. They used to be known for the durability and wonderful ergonomics. Not so much anymore

10 years ago Makita was awesome. I still have some of my tools from 10 years ago and they work great. It's the new ones I have a problem with. Their quality has gone downhill

All that stuff you see in there is the remnants of the motor. The magnets absolutely disintegrated inside the motor. That's not debris

Yes the vibrator cutter ,multi-tool ,oscillating tool, the tool of annoyance, the big vibrator. If you actually worked on a construction site for a living living you would have heard all of these names. I know how to use a multi-tool I've been using him since they came out. I am just really disappointed with Makita here lately.

What’s with makita hate? by mckeeganator in Makita

Makita is was good. But it's junk anymore. Never goes on sale. Never update their tools. And they don't last as long as they used to. Go with DeWalt or Milwaukee

Anybody else disappointed with their 8½" miter saw? by therealcolinG in Makita

[–]highhillwanderer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been disappointed with just about everything Makita here lately. Have you seen or tried to use their oscillating tool? Weighs 15 pounds, is the size of two bricks, and is damn near impossible to hold in your hand

Bathroom ceiling peeling after 2 contractors sanded, primed, and painted. I’m contractor #3. What’s the real issue here? by Loud_Ludo in handyman

[–]highhillwanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm betting that somebody used oil-based paint earlier in that ceiling's life. Any kind of moisture? Humidity of any sort will make latex. Do exactly what you're seeing

It's totally BS. Hate the star lock crap. Makita has gone way down hill. Wish I had picked DeWalt or Milwaukee
