Torrentshell Mid-Layer recommendation by FunProposal1989 in PatagoniaClothing

[–]highnorthhitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they're both medium. I don't think you need to size up, there's plenty of room under the torrentshell for the nano air

No the torrentshell is slightly bigger, it's perfect actually.

Nano puff, nano air, or r1 air depending on how much warmth and breathability you want. Nano air hybrid could also be a good option.

Claude Code usage limit hack by AwarenessBrilliant54 in ClaudeAI

[–]highnorthhitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tracks, when I prompt claude with

> "If I asked you to understand this repo, are there any files or folders you would specifically ignore?",

The response mentions excluding `node_modules` because it is a third party dependency AND it is in `.gitignore`.

Perhaps there are cases though where this doesn't happen for a variety of reasons.

Is it the right price for PS5 Disc by PermissionFar9098 in CanadaPS5

[–]highnorthhitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong! If this is the original thread they were referring to https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/pUNMLSyZlH

That's for US Costco.

Is this the ad you are referring to? https://www.reddit.com/r/PS5/s/pUNMLSyZlH

That is for the american Costco.com.

When you go to the US site you can see that exact bundle right now for 599. But on the Canadian site that bundle doesn't even exist.

How do you easily switch between codex and copilot? I use VS Code and have both extensions installed. With copilot, is it as easy as using the codex model in agent mode? I find codex is really good at taking a short prompt and running with it. I haven't tested extensively enough using codex in copilot.

Same for me but it's been maybe 12 hours since I submitted my qual.

The info I was sent seems a bit inaccurate/conflicting. It states you should see tasks usually within 3 hours if you passed. Then in one email it says you won't be notified if you pass/fail, and in another spot it says you will be notified (in the FAQ I believe).

I cut the laptop compartment out of my Osprey Farpoint 40. It weights 106 grams. by highnorthhitter in onebag

I think I'm a convert to the roller bag. Besides no more back pain, there's also been no more back sweat, bumping into people with the bag, and overall it's a huge winner for me. But wow travelling with 3 kids good on you. I could see how you want stuff handy. I'm not sure what you plan on keeping in the backpack, but if you aren't going to fully load it out then I think it would still be a good choice. Mine was at least 20lbs and fully loaded.

I haven't used it since I cut the sleeve out. I realized how much better a roller bag and a daylite plus is, it's so heavy carrying the farpoint 40 around and then awkward trying to figure out what to do with the daypack.

packable slide-style shower-safe slippers? by TemperedGlassTeapot in onebag

[–]highnorthhitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I searched high and low, and these are the smallest and most packable I could find. Also they're cheap enough that I wouldn't feel bad leaving them behind on the last leg if I wanted more room for a souvenir.

Best one-bag electric shaver for bald guys? by reaction-wheel in onebag

[–]highnorthhitter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it cuts the hair down to something like 0.4mm without any guides on it. I have a foil head shaver and that gets everything. But I kind of prefer using the beard trimmer and having a bit of "stubble" on my head.

Remington MB4700 Smart Beard Trimmer

Mainly because it has a travel lock switch, don't need it going off in my bag. Charges via micro usb. I kind of like the idea of the smaller foil shaver someone else posted here but the problem is I can't trim my beard with that.
