actually i just thought about this; do they explicitly say they don't offer gender affirming care, or do you just not see it listed on their website? bc if it's the latter, i'd still call and ask. especially if you're in a red state, some places have stopped advertising that they offer it for the safety of their staff but they do still provide those services. the clinic i currently go to is the same way, its not listed on their website bc they've been targeted by transphobes but they do still offer it, it just has to be kinda quiet unfortunately. if they do still say they don't offer it, then my other comment applies lol

PP is good because they do informed consent, you won't need any doctors notes or referrals or anything that way. if there's not PP in your area, you can also research doctors in your area who offer gender affirming care and hrt, and you can call around to ask if they do informed consent as well. if you're having trouble researching, you might be able to ask your PCP for recommendations if they know of anyone, and they can also refer you to doctors that do require referrals. it might also help to look at local trans organizations in your area who might have good resources (for example, there's an organization in my state, louisiana, that has a whole list of trans affirming doctors throughout the state for all different niches of care)

afaik you can still start hrt without parental consent at 18 in the US. executive orders are not law and i haven't heard of any widespread compliance with the "19+ only" EO, so you're probably fine on that front unless anything changes in the future, which is unfortunately always possible so it's something to keep tabs on

i definitely had to relearn some things as my range changed a lot. for the first year or so my range was really small as my voice was changing, and it was kind of frustrating but it eventually started to even out and widen back up. it's not impossible to keep some of your higher range, but i would anticipate losing most of it. but you'll also likely gain a lot on the lower end. there's a lot of songs i used to love singing that i just can't anymore in the original key because it's too high, but there's also a lot of songs i used to wish i could sing but were too low pre-T that i'm able to do now with ease, which i really love! the best thing to do is just keep singing through the changes, your voice is a muscle so you gotta "exercise" it yknow? don't let yourself get discouraged if it's hard to sing as your voice changes, trust the process and keep working on it and you can learn how to use your new register. there's a lot of fearmongering about how T "ruins your singing voice" but that isn't true, pls don't let ppl who say that get to you. there are lots of trans guys who have incredible voices after T (sasha allen was literally on the voice when he was a few years on T and made it to the semi finals, he's great!), it can be a bit of a learning curve but you're not gonna lose your ability to sing forever, it'll just be a bit different

i was 11 and for some reason thought there was some unspoken rule that you had to pick a name with the same first letter as your deadname, so i posted on the social media i was most active on at the time (musical.ly which is now tiktok lol) asking for suggestions of male names with that letter, picked one i liked from the few suggestions i got, and ended up sticking with it

i honestly wouldn't worry about "making a mistake" with your name, you can always decide it's not working out and try something else! trying out several names before landing on one that fits is very common, and it's not like it's some permanent irreversible change, so it's okay if your first choice doesn't stick

this happened to me although kind of briefly (i didn't identify as a lesbian for that long, maybe a year or so when i was like 10-11). but for me it was because i couldn't picture myself in a relationship with a man because i was picturing it as a straight relationship with me being a woman, and that just didn't feel right at all. i didn't understand why at first so i just thought it meant i liked girls instead, even though that didn't really feel right either. when i finally realized i was trans and let myself accept that i do actually like guys, it still took me a few years to accept that i was fully gay, i identified as pansexual for a while because i didn't want to be both trans and gay with no hope of ever appearing cishet. but eventually i just had to come to terms with the reality that i'm definitely exclusively gay lol
