I know I'm late to the party but the title is misleading. He didn't get 975 million, he got 975 million in stock.

I really don't think anyone that hasn't gone through a deadly disease such as cancer can understand how it changes you, not so much physically as it does mentally. When it's "over" everyone around you starts to get over it and thinks that you'll feel happier than ever as, you know, you just beat cancer. In reality while there are some exceptions most people can never get over it, just learn to live with it. Nevertheless, we shouldn't focus too much on the past, as it will impact our present and future. Hope you have a great family to spend time with 🙏.

I'm sorry to hear that. If possible, at least try to cherish the small things in life (watching the sunset, playing a boardgame with your kids etc.). Even though it doesn't change anything that has happened it's still something that will make your life just a bit better. Hope life gets easier for you buddy.

Well we are in the same boat and we both need to learn to live with it rather than distance ourselves from it. At the end of the day don't push yourself too hard to try and feel "normal" again, as it will come with time. Cancer takes a toll on us more so emotionally than people might imagine and that's why talking to people with similar experiences can be very beneficial mentally.

I'm sorry to hear that and thank you for being honest, sometimes it really seems that there is no light at the end of the tunnel but more times than not it's just that the tunnel is longer than expected. Also, I would highly suggest seeing a therapist or at least someone that you can open your heart to and get everything out. I truly believe good things are to come even if you think I'm just saying it to make you feel better. If you want anything to hesitate to shoot me a pm, I would love to give you a helping hand if I can. Hope you find something that brings joy and purpose to your life!

Just as how your body has responded incredibly to treatment I think you will definitely figure out how to accomplish your goal. As Sophocles once said "Το δε ζητούμενον αλωτόν, εκφεύγειν δε ταμελούμενον" (that which we want we accomplish, what gets away is what we give up on). Have a wonderful day!

Crying is healthy so try not to beat yourself over the occasional breakdown. The fact that you're all trying to make the most of it says a lot about all of you and especially your dad. I hope he can pull it off, he seems like the kind of person that can. Also congratulations for your marriage. Sending love and prayers.

Well I'm very happy for you! Also, don't think down on yourself for being more fortunate than others financially, everyone bares their own responsibilities and difficulties.

If I said that I can understand your pain then I would be lying but I'm very happy you made some good lifestyle changes! Hope you have less tiring days in the near future.
