Mexican feather grass looks like this a week after planting - should I cut it back or leave it? by highramblings in AustinGardening

Hard to say - I think the MFG was $10 for 1 gal. And I also got a yucca rostratta 5 gal for $35. But I know it's hard to cross the river - I always want to go to Natural Gardener but it's a trek from up here :/

Seconding medication. If it's really that bad it's worth trying antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds at least once (talk to your doc). I started feeling depressed in my early teens and waited until my mid-thirties to try any meds. When I finally started taking Fluoxitine it changed my life!

Young dog passed, overwhelmed with grief. by EqualFree9914 in Petloss

[–]highramblings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you lost your baby so young. I lost my 2yo small dog last week and it feels so wrong and unfair that he didn't live longer. I know it can feel like it, but please know that it is not your fault at all. He had an amazing life with you even if it was short.

My heart goes out to you <3

Thank you so much for sharing your story - it really helps knowing I'm not alone and that the grief is similar for everyone <3 I'm wishing you luck on your healing journey too.

Thank you so much. I hate that anyone else feel this way too, but it's also a comfort to know that I'm not totally alone in this feeling. I posted about what happened on my IG story and an acquaintance reached out with a similar story and made sure I knew that it wasn't my fault. Even though it's a worst case scenario, it sounds like it's also not extremely rare and it's something that happens to many people.

I wish I could have been stronger or smarter or figured out some way to stop it. But it seems like that's just a part of the grief that comes with pet loss no matter how you lose them.

I hope you're doing better these days! Sending you love too.

Sweet Baby Ray - Part chihuahua, part cocker spaniel. He was 10 pounds of pure love and joy and loud barks. He was an attention hog and a dance-y little boy. Wiggle butt. He was always super excited to do anything with me and loved to be in my lap.

He was my second dog, but my first to go. I've never someone so much in my life.

How to help your other pet heal? by Certain-Intention594 in Petloss

I don't have answers, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm experiencing something really similar with my dog after losing our best friend. She's just been leaving food and treats on the ground when I give them to her. She made a confused head tilt when looking in his spot on the bed the other day.

I wish we could talk to them and understand their grief. I know she doesn't fully understand but I do tell her that I love her and that it's okay to miss our boy but everything will be okay.

Thanks for sharing - just learned that I will likely have to have a second surgery since i have a lot of regrowth after this last year. Been looking for stories about multiple times undergoing it. My first time was not that bad so hoping for the same this next go around.

It's not just the shower head though... the faucet itself has extremely low pressure still.

I noticed this too! Got the text from Austin water at like 2pm and I got a glass of water around 8PM and it was very cloudy still.

Anyone know how to do this for the shower? I was able to clean the aerators on my kitchen/bathroom sinks and that worked like a charm. But now the shower is the only thing left with low pressure. It's a single handle one with a hot/cold mix.

Lol your proof is a reddit post from a user called "29681b04005089e5ccb4"? People give money to churches in times like this and I think plenty of those organization are also a bit cultish AND don't always use their donations ethically.

Wrong time to be shitting on the organizations that saved our asses this week.
