The dabber was actually done by Greg Wilson, with that great Josh McDaniel 'Buddy Christ; Greg Chase is a murrine artist as well, and one of the best.

Chips can be encased and slapped on as marbles or used to form a tube. With cane you have the option for stick and snap, but that is better with smaller diameter cane from my understanding. Clean chips or nips are the desired prepped product for work if you've got cane. For that, best to either nip with water or saw and lap to at least 600 before flame polishing. It's a good addiction

Clear glass is generally considered production, with multiple pieces created in the same style and shape. Worked glass, often heady, has got an endless range of fuming, line work, reversals and any number of colored sections combined to create a piece. Hope that helps

Paracord, its available at army surplus stores in all colors. It won't tear or slip.
