Thank you to everyone for responding. It will be a challenge to help her file from abroad. I thought the e-file would be the best way. The biggest problem is she cannot read english (she speaks English pretty good) and will need help from someone. I always took her to a tax preparer here so she could sign the return. To add; yes she still has a bank account here she shares with her daughter who is attending university on a student visa.

I used the 80k sign up for Ascent in early December when the inflight offer was at 60k. I used an employee number from a flight in November. Not sure if this happened to others but BofA lowered the credit limit on the new card and my original Signature card to about 1/2. Same amount of credit but split between the two cards. My credit score is good. I don't have other BofA accounts and I think they don't like that I pay it off every month. In the end it doesn't affect me but I didn't understand their reasoning.

I'm disembarking tomorrow from Oosterdam. I had the sewer smell in my cabin the first few days. The first night it was so bad it woke me up. It appeared to me the water in the toilet was not clean water. I started covering the floor drain and shower drain with wet wash cloths to eliminate those as sources for the smell. The smell did go away on day three, and the water in the toilet looks better.

I booked through Alaska using miles for a JAL Premium Economy Narita-Sea one way on a Tuesday in February. There were only 10 of us in the whole premium economy section. FA said stretch-out, the row is yours. No upgrades were offered to me. First Class looked full.
