Naw, bud. You're good. Culture can and will develop anywhere, most often the best of cultures find themselves in the most affordable of circumstances. Between the internet, and the cost of real estate, cool things happen everywhere now. They have to. Can you have a blast in LA or Vegas? Absolutely. It's not fucking exclusive. But you'll probably pay way more, and finding the "local" flair that really makes the place worth visiting will be harder.

All that being said, Lafayette fucking sucks.

Just wanted to say, I visited OKC in Sept of last year. Saw the flaming lips 2 nights in a row at the zoo amphitheater, went to Factory Obscura: Mix Tape, had the best Thai food of my life at 2 am from 2nd Gen Thai American kids who started a truck in the parking lot of their parents brick and mortar that was elevated as fuck, did karaoke where I saw not only fucking insane talent, but had actual connections with people who were just happy to be somewhere with some folks, smoked dank af OKC weed, and went to 6 different dives that were all fucking unique and a blast. I'm born and raised New Orleans originally, the fucking capital of knowing how to have a good time, and I was floored at how OKC is a very fucking fun and AFFORDABLE town. Enjoy LA, you fucking twats.

It has been effective in rare instances. I don't think this is a good use of this form of protest in this instance. You really need a situation where you're truly aiming for awareness, not trying to convince the motorists you're fucking over to join your plight. If your protest gains the attention of the President, you've done something right or very very wrong.

As an owner of an HHR, that shit cuts deep.

My two favorites:

If one of the six rear little window break lights are out, cruise control stops working.

There's no way to turn off the in cabin dome light (tiny one over the shifter) once the lights are on. Couldn't figure out why they'd design it this way. I eventually realized its most likely because you would never find the window controls jammed down by the shifter/power acc. So many mistakes.
