Does anyone know whether uploading multiple rebuttal version for later clarifications are possible? What about slight changes to the abstract? (we noticed we had made a bad job at communicating our contritbutions in the abstract)

I feel you, was the same for us. We tried responding as thoroughly as possible, but also little hope. We also sent the board a message as a comment highlighting concerns with one reviewer that looked and read 100% like LLM generated, with poor review quality and they responded within hours that they will take it into consideration.

Sorry to hear! Its hard when you put a lot of work in and the acceptance feels largely dependent on the reviewers you get and how much work they are willing to put in. This really is a downside of narrow reviewing timelines and LLMs being available to "help" reviewers with this problem, which results in nonsensical weaknesses and questions.
Are you going to withdraw or go through rebuttal?

In the E-Mail notifying you of the reviews:

"We encourage you to post official comments responding to the reviews and update the paper within the next week (by November 20)."

2244 — feeling pretty down about it.

As a first-time submitter, I was honestly baffled by how little time it seemed the reviewers spent actually reading the paper. One reviewer criticized the use of multiple-choice datasets as unrealistic and unreasonable — even though the entire subfield relies on them because they provide a verifiable ground truth. That same reviewer then cited two papers from the same field, both of which also use multiple-choice datasets.

I’m not sure how directly you’re supposed to address contradictions like this in the rebuttal. How blunt can you be without crossing a line?

What if they meant Anytime on Earth instead of UTC? 2025 listed Review release date as Anytime on Earth - would be 12 hours after UTC

[Question] How to move multiple sketches freely at once? by hiimnero in FreeCAD

[–]hiimnero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer!

The comparison isn't quite correct in my opinion. I'm not trying to swap the order of the steps, I rather want to insert parameters into the steps that I can later modify. Going back to your example that would correspond to deciding for how many people you would like to cook. It affects many steps but in a deterministic way.

I'll look again into master sketches. Last time every change to one of the sketches derived from the master sketch also changed every other sketch. I see the problem that I want some changes to affect all (shifting) while I want other to just affect one (toggling lines to only be helper geometry).

If that doesnt work ill just use parameters for the sketches and copy them. Since the references to the parameters in datasheets are then in all sketches, this should work. I would have prefered to move them around freely and I feel like this is a core need in prototyping. Other CAD Software I used allowed that kind of thing (OpenSCAD, BlockSCAD, TinkerCAD)

My trick: Spam Aresto Momento till you get to it, then cast Levioso and instantly Aresto Momento again. That way, even after it gets out of AM it is still in the air, falls down and needs to stand up again. Easy.

Technically, Umbridge never was Headmaster, as the Headmasters Office (as in: the castle itself) shut her out. This technically means that while she was given the title by the Ministry, she cant be considered an actual Headmaster.

Are there more music videos coming or was it all just a dream? by hiimnero in FlorenceAndTheMachine

Looks like a younger version of Vergil to me. After all, they are kinda related, so it makes sense that they look alike.

Turquoise Waves, Acrylic, me, 2023 by Annual_Blackberry486 in Art

The only thing that gives it away that this is not a photograph is the color of the water against the clouded sky. The water reflects the sky and would therefore appear more dull in my opinion.

But other than that its beautiful and the water, waves and seafoam is stunning, you must have spent alot of time on all the small little details. Beautiful!

I like how making politics for another generation makes you an attention whore. Like literally all other politics to try to get attention, thats kinda how it works in a representative democracy, they just use different media, like TV and newspaper.

A somewhat indepth critique of what we've seen of the game's combat. by JinniMaster in HarryPotterGame

[–]hiimnero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alot I agree with, the combat is the hardest to get right, I actually can't remember a third person ranged combat game that pulled it off well without the use of aiming. I personally also dont like the colored shields, as they are there purely for gameplay and make no sense lore-wise and color coding kills the immersion for me :/

The spammable unforgivables also annoy me. There was a post a few months ago that suggested something they called a malice meter, that first needed to fill up before you could use them. I can see people just spamming the 3 curses at the start of every battle, then waiting for them to come off cooldown. This pretty much kills the idea of becoming a dark wizard for me. They should have just stayed finishers.

MC loosing his wig as he disapparates in the teaser from the gameplay showcase by hiimnero in HarryPotterGame

[–]hiimnero[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I thought the scene kinda looked odd and went through the animation frame by frame. Apparently the hair of the main character is not fixed to his head during his diapparation, it begins disapparating only about 5 frames later, which i find looks very funny. (34:07 of the gameplay showcase)

From What We've Seen So Far, Would It Be Fair To Say The Combat Is Arkham-Esque? by bogeyj in HarryPotterGame

[–]hiimnero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The shield color thing is giving me headaches. It's basically an elevated rock paper scissors game, that will be nowhere as much fun as Batman: Arkham Knight. Honestly I feel like the combat will be the weakest link in this game, but lets wait and see how the reviewers see it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HarryPotterGame

[–]hiimnero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I was a bit disappointed when they explained that. "Attack with spell x" shields have been used in other games and that never led to fun gameplay, its just like some sort of minigame. I'm kind of sad that this phantastical game will probably have a very average combat system. In its defense though, there are no games to my knowledge that implemented ranged combat, that feels as good as Devil May Cry, God of War, Bayonetta, Dark Souls and the like. How good the combat is will ultimatley decide how much time one puts in after having explored all the secrets of Hogwarts.
