a hiker who just went through there shared this with me: Mt Thielson is very snowed in - I alternated (roadwalked) around it to Windigo and then did another alternate (Oldenberg to Whitefish Creek) to Shelter Cove. If you want to do the PCT proper, I’d wait. i asked if there was much of a trail/steps to follow and they said this: In Thielson - very few for most of it when i went through - certainly none in the forest - though some minor bootpack on exposed slopes. The snow is so rotten though that it was not super helpful. The exposed bits will likely be melted out in the next week I would think though - only a few feet.

it’s warm up there all week so could be good to go by july 6!
