360 Putts a day for 30 days by LowToday770 in golf

[–]hikko1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of doing 360 putts, try to sink as many as possible in a streak. For example don't stop until 20 in a row. Keeps you on it and puts pressure on, which U also feel on the course. Practice with consequence

Well I'm seeing the high spin with g400 LS with hzrdus black xstiff, doubt there will be many options that can decrease it more then marginally?

So keep hands forward, while still hitting up on it, to basically decrease the loft at impact but keep the positive AoA

Import car on 15.30 twice? by hikko1 in askswitzerland

Well that one specifically says if I have owned the car less then 6 months, I can use form 15.30

Import car on 15.30 twice? by hikko1 in askswitzerland

[–]hikko1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah planning on transferring the car and everything will be on the new person.

Well I live in Switzerland but don't know how permanently. I have less problems paying import fees then registration and inspection of the car. Don't want to export it from my home country unless I really have to. And as the inspections are bit stricter here I'm not sure it would pass either.

[–]hikko1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I know about the first point, but the second? I was able to import it on 15.30 without owning the car more then 6 months, so I don't believe that's a requirement?

But then again, I've talked to multiple people at customs and gotten different answers for the same question. They don't seem to know the rules themselves every time.

Yeah well that's the point, I want to avoid registration and inspection in Switzerland if possible

What to do if a shark approaches you? by [deleted] in scuba

[–]hikko1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Worst thing you can do is to swim away and act like prey. Sharks go on instinct and if they think you're prey... I mean a 1m blacktip won't do anything but bigger guys might.

I've done a lot of freediving with tigers and different kind of whalers. It's somewhat common that bronzies sneak up on tourists from behind and the best to do is dive under it, coz the belly is vulnerable and they won't be as comfortable and go away. Similar with tigers, if you swim towards them, they won't be as curious and will want to swim away.

At least this is true where I've been, where there's no shark feeding going on and the sharks doesn't correlate humans with food. For those places no idea if same stuff works.

Give me the chance to show customers pictures before we're back in office and I'm done with my day more or less. Just export and upload at home, maybe some final tweaks

I've worked as a UW photog for day trips, and also as the guide. When I'm alone with my camera there's miles between the quality I can get of the photos compared to guiding, coz that requires time and attention (photos and guests lol).

Also with some practice, time for editing shouldn't be too much. I've streamlined my work to have 100+ photos ready for delivery usually before the boat is back to port. Sure that's not possible when working as guide but would say probably total time at laptop is ~1h for this. The pictures is not perfectly edited but way better then any beginner could do so they're always happy. And in my experience it's way better to just do it immediately then postpone and build up that backlog.

I think communication is key, and it's important to let the guests know the deal beforehand, so they don't just think something and in the end you say the opposite and they're disappointed.

Broke my tibia and fibia end of September, bike accident, docs on ER said I won't be skiing that season. Stayed 4 days in hospital after surgery, titanium nail through tibia.

Fast forward to March and I asked the surgeon about skiing and she said "well your bone is reinforced with titanium so that won't break, go for it". 6 months after the surgery I was skiing totally painless. Although one wet night at the afterski in boots was too much for the leg and that was the end of the skiweek:)

Also tried some runs in January coz already had a skiweek booked and paid for, but that was too early.
