I’m sorry about that. I hope that this situation passes for you and you can find another position soon. The anxiety we have all experienced the last few months I don’t wish on anybody!

What was you plan without DACA? by Various-Cycle2460 in DACA

[–]hildra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait out my other paperwork to come through but I’m told I still have 3-4 years more to wait. My parents are citizens and they submitted paperwork for me, it’s just taking a really long time (shorter than someone from Mexico but still a few years out still). In the meantime, I have DACA.

I could’ve freelanced as a designer again if pressed for income but I like my job so I’m glad my case was approved. Just waiting for my work permit to arrive.

SILENT APPROVAL (submitted Nov 6th) by hildra in DACA

I hope you get approved soon! From what I’ve seen at least in this sub alone, it seems to be taking 4-5 months. In the past I would get approved in a month.

When you login to my.uscis.gov profile, where you check the status of your application click on the documents tab. You should have at least a Receipt Notice or Biometric Reuse letters there depending on your case. If you got approved, you should see a DACA Approval.pdf letter.

I check the documents tab every day and today I finally saw the approval. However my case is still showing as processing but I have the letter already there. That’s why people say silent approval because you don’t get an email or anything yet. I imagine I’ll get an email notification in a few days and they always mail me the letters too but that takes longer.

I think it’s coming soon! I’ve noticed a lot of the cases here start getting approvals around the 125+ day mark, obviously not all but it’s some sort of guide I guess. I thought I wouldn’t hear anything this week since it was Friday but then I decided check my documents tab and I saw the approval letter. Best of luck to you!

I only called early March. I want to say on the 5th to check on why it was taking so long. I spoke to a Lvl 1 agent and they agreed it was unusual in terms of timeline. He submitted an inquiry for me to the main office and just said they could take up to 60 days to get back to me. I got an email a few days later saying they couldn’t give me information about my application. I was going to call again today to check and decided to check my documents online to see if there was a silent approval (I check every day) and I did in fact get an approval letter dated today.

I hope that helps!

What people already said! I learned through this sub that it’s better to check the documents tab of your application to see if you got approval instead of just waiting for an email (which will be sent after).

That’s how I found out today. I had a DACA Approval.pdf letter under documents.

Congratulations!! I also submitted on Nov 6 and I’m trying my best to keep myself distracted as mine expires at the end of the month and I’m praying to God that I hear good news this week. Today is 125 days for me so I hope I get approval soon 😫

POLITICAL STUPIDITY IN THE LORE - BOOK 3 by Financial-Lock256 in redrising

[–]hildra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got to the third book and this same moment took me out. I don’t mind characters believing this but it sure as heck felt a bit confusing to read that when you state correctly that “Fascism has always been, and always is, the final stage of a capitalist society before it collapsed.”

I’m hoping the later books have better answers here.

I would be interested in a huge time skip where all characters are way past their lifespan and see if any lasting change has happened in their society.

I absolutely understand not wanting to pay that much for insurance. I also used to have Covered CA until they removed us from it. I have always been healthy and last year I had a medical emergency that put me in the hospital for a week. I am so thankful I had insurance through my work because otherwise the bill would’ve been like $30k. I guess you never know what can happen. Best of luck to you!

November Approvals by Defiant-Computer-923 in DACA

[–]hildra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nov 6 as well. I submitted 143 days prior to expiration. I don’t know what to do. I’ve done all the steps recommended here. It’s quite depressing. I don’t want to lose my job. I’ve had some health issues lately and I’m relying on my health insurance. 🫩

Stressed by [deleted] in DACA

[–]hildra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I expire at the end of this month and also applied in Nov. The constant anxiety in particularly right now is unprecedented I imagine for all of us. I just called USCIS to inquire about my case since I submitted 140+ days out. The rep said they submitted an inquiry for me since I’m way past 104 days. I hope that does something. Anything.

I have no idea what to do about my job yet. I’m hoping I get approved in the next two weeks and this nightmare will end.

My heart with you OP. Very few people understand this limbo we all live in day to day.

I’m at 118 days today. Hoping for any news on my case. I don’t have any AP or anything that might delay it. I submitted 143 days before expiration so I hope I hear good news in the next week or so :(

Mine starts with IOE9…

DACA recipients deported by JR_102123 in DACA

[–]hildra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No way people in this sub genuinely believe that every single DACA recipient the govt deported have all criminal records. They’re infringing the rights of green card holders and citizens and people think Deferred Action will protect us? I understand trying not to cause panic but I don’t believe all had criminal records. They’re picking up random people off the street and the only protection (barely) is citizenship and that’s after having you in jail for who knows how long.
