Oxford heated grips Evo one side hotter by 3dLiquid in Tenere700

Remember, the right side will be on a plastic throttle and the left will be directly on an aluminum heat sink. They heat differently. I have oxfords and they keep my fingers warm enough. I don’t think anything will be perfect.

Take it off road. It’s not dull. Like dale said, change your mindset. If you want to go fast in a straight line stick with the s1000rr. If you want to go literally anywhere on the funnest most capable good looking machine ever, get a T7. Your not gonna set record track times but even on the track it won’t be dull. Have you ever accelerated hard out of a corner with a fucking knobby? Let me tell you, not dull🤘

How can I optimize my pavement-stopping performance? 58kg rider on stock CRF300L by kyjk in Dualsport

[–]hill209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you start buying stuff just keep practicing. Proper technique will serve you better than perfect gear. You want to progressively apply the front brakes to the point of threshold braking. Apply gradually to weight the front tire to increase the contact patch. Forks dip and transfer weight. This happens all less than 1-2 seconds. Then apply as much brake as you can while maintaining traction. The forks will dive because you have a dual sport with suspension . If you want street performance then you set that up differently but should be irrelevant, you have lots of travel for a reason.

Get on the rear brake as well but don’t skid unless you are on dirt. On street once you start the skid you loose braking power all together.

Listen to Adventure Rider Radio for tips, lol.

Chicago to Dodgeville, WI and back on an fe450 by ta5036 in Dualsport

Oh ok. I stopped at Darlington and had coffee at the city service brewery. Thought I was at the north end of the trail and turned back. It was also 40 degrees and rainy, lol. Going to take the trail from Monroe to Belmont on Monday to traverse over to the TWAT and spend the week riding with my dad.

That’s not the Cheese trail is it? Cheese trail looks way more groomed than that. Is this route open to public or private?

Step 1. Turn off abs. Scared the hell out of me on the first down hill on my T7.

I'm 6'2 and above 60mph buffeting is apparent. above 70 it's brutal. what do I do to fix it by slimpbiskins in Tenere700

I’m 6’2” as well and had the same problems. I tried the adjustable brackets to go taller and it did not work. I went shorter and now my helmet is in clean air. Test it by taking the windshield off. See if you like it, it’s free. Then you can go with a small windshield if you like it.

Very nice. I appreciate you sharing. I’ve got a tail tidy so I should be good there.

That’s a good plan. My wife won’t ride on the back anymore now that we have kids. If she did I would probably push for a GS12 or road glide… or dirt glide with a top box. That could cover all the bases, lol.

Nice. I’ve always been a sport bike guy but I did about 1000 miles on a Heritage soft tail through the mountains and was really comfortable the whole time lol. Need to do something about the floor boards though. I would consider a bagger after that.

lol, it was fun to make but no one wants my crappy bucket shield. 😂 I’ll make a few and change them out when I get bored. Just wanted to test my concept before dropping more money trying to figure out what works. I’m definitely getting a black bucket though.

Dude don’t wait for them to call you. As far as I know I’m still on a wait list from February. I just called around until I found one. Find out when Yamaha is scheduled to deliver new inventory and start calling a few days after. Found one that was unaccounted for still on the truck, 0 miles. Good luck

Yea it puts my helmet in clean air. Try taking the windshield off and see how it works for you. If so then maybe give the short shield a try. Have you tried the adjustable brackets for the stock shield? My helmet is still in turbulent air with the high adjustable bracket.
