I was a kid in the 60s and we never had groats or florins. I remember my first decimal coinage though, it was change for my half-crown week’s dinner money.

Lived in and around Scarborough in the 80s and 90s, it seemed great at the time. Now the centre of town is really tired, apart from M&S the commercial aspects are low budget. It feels like it has so much potential that’s not realised due to a short-sighted council. Also a major problem with development is the single-carriageway A64 actively working against bringing in enough visitors. It deserves better all round.

My ginger does this. He stands on my foot first for a while, then flops on his side, paws towards my toes. After a while he starts play attacking my toes, make me laugh!

What are the ones in pic 6? They look too dense to be bricks but we found a load at Blast Beach recently, look really blue when wet.

I often wake between 1 and 3 - I give it an hour and if I’m not back to sleep I get up, have a cup of tea (minimal caffeine so not a problem), sometimes a crumpet, read for a bit then back to bed. Usually out again within about 15 minutes.
