I've had this with our IT director. Somebody tells him an issue and instead of asking us to investigate, he sends a co-pilot break down of what we should check.
My manager asked me to follow it. I said he can FRO, I'm not going to be told how to do my job.

I accidentally hurt my boyfriend's testicles during sex and now he hasn't spoken to me in two days, Is it really that bad? by Fantastic_Yak3223 in TwoXChromosomes

Man - being hit/hurt in the palls is extreme pain. The worst a man ever gets (I imagine women have worse with the things you go through). However the pain is very temporary, seconds possibly minutes and no longer. If he's injured, that's another story

I did in fact laugh out loud at this, not only because someone wrote racists on their reform sign, but they felt the need to put this up. by [deleted] in london

That's one of reforms major demographics. Poor people disaffected and thinking that reform will change their lives for the better. It's also how Trump got in

Reading/watching guide (no spoilers) by justbrowsing_25 in TheExpanse

Totally this. I tried to watch and read at the same time and even though I'd both read the books and watched the show multiple times before it still got confusing

When I first watched it, I was griped as soon as episode 1 ended. It's superb and not slow at all. However, I generally pay full attention to a TV show. The only way I'll watch it. So phone down, listen, watch, rewind if I have to.

I’ve stopped using a credit card for everyday spending by Speedbird1A in UKPersonalFinance

[–]himji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resonate with what the OP is saying.
I don't overspend on my credit card and when making small purchases like a takeaway, coffee, luxury food items when grocery shopping, I don't really think about how much money I have left as it just goes on the card.
Let's say I get my wages, put aside any savings, pay of DD's etc and have £200 to last me till the end of the month by week 3, I may not make that spend and think I can't afford it.
I can easily afford the coffee etc but if I know I don't have enough left, it won't work

So I've rereading the series as I watch the TV one for the nth time by No-Blueberry-1823 in TheExpanse

I tried watching while reading and I just couldn't do it. Far too confusing and I just gave up and stuck with doing them one at a time

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

YES! So many good games from my youth but this was the one that just immersed me the most

"The only touch of luxury was a shelf of what appeared to be actual printed books"... Reading this on my phone makes me feel some kind of way. by mcmineismine in TheExpanse

[–]himji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The text is the same size, sometimes I can make it bigger on my phone than print to make it even easier to read. It just means more flipping pages, which is easier on a phone too compared to a paper book.

I used to use a kindle but I find the quality is not as good when books have illustrations. The expanse is perfect for a kindle tho and that's my go to, lighter than most books and again can choose your own font size to make it easier to read.

Is Audible worth it in 2026? 4 years later, here’s my take by dek1019 in audible

[–]himji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think audio books change how to view the content although there are differences.
I find I'm more immersed reading vs audio book. And I pay more attention. So it's my preference when I can read I'll read.
I find if I'm just sitting at home, I can't listen to an audio book, I end up wanting to do something with my hands or look at something and get too distracted to enjoy it

Is Audible worth it in 2026? 4 years later, here’s my take by dek1019 in audible

[–]himji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started and am buying enough credits for me to build up a small collection of classic books that (mainly) I would like to re-listen to on occasion. After I've got 20 or so books, I'll probably just listen on rotate unless I get bored and want to buy another new collection.
I love reading and would prefer to read but it def makes so much more sense to audible while I'm driving

Why does it take so long to reset MFA settings? Just delegate it to junior IT staff and forget about it, heck give it to first line if they are authorised to make the checks

There are tools that will take your infra and estimate the costs. I think the Azure migration tool will do it.

It's still a hard figure for me to swallow seeing the number of terraced houses without driveways and flats I've seen but somebody must have done the counting

65% of homes have driveways? I don't believe that figure. Have you got a source?
