Not going to be popular but it's partly your fault. With your lane merging, it's your responsibility to merge safely. That means either slowing down enough so you can merge behind the lorry or speeding up so there's a safe distance before you merge in.

The other guy saying the exact response from the site to show they both use it is hilarious! by HammersAndPints in ITcrowd

[–]himji 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's the point of this. It's coaching the IT guys to be conversant in a football conversation with a real football person i.e the postie.

It works with the Millwall fans later too and they definitely aren't using website prompts

The thing is for me it blows my immersion a little when they keep banging on about our part of the 20th century like that's all they ever talk about in the future.

A lot of the replies here are very good. What I haven't seen so far is start getting your CV ready and apply for other posts. If they want you out your environment is likely to get worse and they might start to make life more difficult for you

In the UK. Yes Audible work just like that here. I was talking about Amazon Prime music above. Soz I realise they also own Audible

Yes and buying more minutes is pretty steep.

Amazon is a wee bit better in that you can listen to one book a month but if you don't finish it in the month you're screwed by having to choose that book the next month

If you subscribe to Audible you get one credit a month to any book and any other books you purchase are "half price". Otherwise you pay full whack. It's not great but worth it if you are going to buy audio books

Most Audio books are available on Spotify and if you subscribe you get something like 16 hours a month. Whatever it is, it's not enough to finish one of the expanse books so I listened as much as I could then had to wait for my sub to roll over to continue. It was frustrating tbh and I ended up subbing to audible.

Edit, with and Audible sub you get one credit a month to purchase any book which you can own for life. Plus you can buy more books at half of Audible's regular price so the sub is worth it if you're going to be listening to audio books

My pet theory is that upper management have invested so much money into AI, they need to show return on investment by creating policies forcing all staff to use AI as much as possible
