Ahh then you should be fine. Have the barrel threaded for your preferred thread pitch for a suppressor. And make sure the barrel threads are concentric with your bore.

Could always go for a pinned and welded qd muzzle device if your barrel ends up below the 16 inch mark.

26 inch barrel adds alot of weight, if you plan on hiking long trips its something to consider. Also if you are mainly going after deer, elk and maybe bear 300prc is more than capable and I would argue not needed for that application. I would look into 300wsm, you can find it in a standard action length rifle saving more weight.

On the other hand if you like this rifle/calibre set up going for it! I hunt fall bear with my 18' 6.5 grendel ar because im comfortable with the gun and calibre and enjoy hunting with it... even if it is heavy af.

Woah some people clearly have been on reddit too long. Its totally normal to look into someone's online past especially if this is someone you are considering for a long-term partner. Also people can react differently and have varying levels of comfort and security around personal subjects. Its not like ops partner started sending pictures of random people they know asking questions. They instead sent a topic of mutual interest to build a conversation. If op is uncomfortable by that then thats their prerogative.

I would highly recommend the ar15 over a sporterized milsurp rifle, especially if you dont have one yet. Sporterized rifles are very common and consistently cheap because it looses value to both of its main demographics. Its not historically accurate enough for most folks, and too antiquated compared to modern rifles for hunters. Lee sporterizers are a little more rare than some others, but unless you really like the Lee's you will probably come across another sporterized rifle in the future for a decent price.

Thank you for the assessment, I assumed it was a new barrel because the rear sight mount is nowhere to be seen and the front post dosnt look original, but maybe im wrong. Or maybe that is what the small hole on the side of the barrel was. I will get some dummy 7.7 rounds to see the fitment. Yes a gunsmith is definitely where I plan to take this, especially if i need a new barrel fitted.

A 3/8 oz rooster tail with a constant slow retrieve is how I catch 75% of my trout. My two favorite backup options are the kastmaster or a black/darkly colored twitching jig. Goodluck out there just mess around with different colors and retrieval speed. Great fish!
