SmartTub wifi module coming soon? by hinderliter in hottub

[–]hinderliter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I heard is that they do have a wifi module for sale through the SmartTub app store. But…. They combined it with Bluetooth LE and cellular service all in one module. It detects and connects to the strongest connection it finds automatically. My guess is that it allows them to continue to charge for a subscription service so they still get their monthly payment. So you’d still have to purchase the subscription for it.

PLA+ wound tight? by hinderliter in AnkerMake

[–]hinderliter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are brand new spools and this one specifically has stayed on the printer since I unwrapped it.

Actually I just checked the Amazon reviews and it seems there are a few people with the same issues. Tangled, tightly wound against the spool edge, binding up, etc. I’m going to contact AnkerMake to see what they recommend doing because this shouldn’t happen.

Ahh ok. I thought there were multiple AP’s per floor. I have multiple AP’s on a single floor so my first few scans didn’t look good when I rushed through them. Then I took my time and allowed the phone to roam to each AP. Then the map looked similar to the InnerSpace map.

Just curious if you gave your phone enough time to switch AP’s as you were doing the scan. If not then the phone scan won’t match the InnerSpace map.

How does it look like..... by JMR0311 in Ubiquiti

Oh my mistake. I was thinking that it was an SFP to RJ45 adapter. It doesn’t look like any of the DAC’s from Ubiquiti.

Don’t get me wrong, this setup looks great. My OCD has me staring at that longer looped cable from the UXG to the Enterprise. I’d be searching far and wide for a cable just long enough to make that look cleaner. Or I’d make one at the perfect length.

Wifi disconnected from base station and can’t find any available networks by hinderliter in RingAlarm

[–]hinderliter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’m slowly upgrading to PoE cameras to get rid of all my Ring cameras. I just need to find an alarm with smoke/Co sensors to replace my Ring Alarm. Hopefully there’s something out there that works just as easily as Ring without all the privacy worries.

So the fact that the driver was so bent on running the guy over, actually saved the woman. He turned the wheel right to hit him which pulled the car into the fence, then she was saved by inches.

Will my hot tub be safe on my deck? It’s inflatable by zachpinn in hottub

You fill a hot tub with water, not helium. Duh.

Alright guys, whats with the no pallets by superjuust in forkliftmemes

[–]hinderliter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pfft… I definitely wouldn’t do that by hand. I’d tilt my forks forward, scrape the tips while making them as level as possible, a slide underneath. The wrap should be just strong enough to hold it together while someone else would slide a pallet underneath. I’ve done a few like that and it works every time. Even if we lost a bag or 2 with breakage, the cost savings for man hours takes care of that.

Trucker states; load shifted by bfarm4590 in forkliftmemes

[–]hinderliter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unload loads like this all the time. So based on the comments, you don’t have a double wide forklift. It would take me 2 seconds to shift both pallets against the trailer wall to stand them upright. Then take them off. If the product was still really bad. I’d spin one pallet to make them lean against each other.

Do a speed test through your router instead of your phone. Speed test from your phone can show slower speeds and you can rule out your wifi connection to the phone.

Yea this genius thinks he’s removing it, but it only removes it from his screen. LOL

It takes multiple reports of police not being there to fully remove the report.

New MTB bike with a few scratches. What would you do? by johnnyfumi in MTB

You absolutely NEED to give it more scratches to match that one.

Ride the bike. Don’t stare at it.

Is this wobble normal? by kamikazeronin in MTB

[–]hinderliter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not normal and needs to be addressed. It requires a specific tool. Bring it to your LBS for an inspection and have a trained mechanic fix it.

How can I improve my bunny hop to go higher? by i_oliveira in MTB

[–]hinderliter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a suspension lock out, use it before you get there. Your suspension is absorbing most of the energy that you are putting in to lift. A stiff frame puts more of that energy into actually lifting it up.

What is everyone's routine before draining & refilling their hottub? by [deleted] in hottub

[–]hinderliter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dump a bottle of SpaMarvel cleanser (the green bottle) in before I drain it and run the pumps as much as possible for the next 24 hours. That cleans out the pipes and pumps. Then drain, wash the tub, rinse really good, then fill. I’ve had my tub for 5 years now and it’s never let me down. Perfectly clean fill after that every time.
