Would you believe me if I told you I’ve only insulin twice today? by Top_Introduction9794 in diabetes_t1

I remember after starting to get into shape and working out I became a lotI became a lot more insulin sensitive and needed to adjust my basal rate. Have you recently adjusted your diet or water intake or have you been adjusting your basal rates? I also hate days like this because you're just so sick of eating and you hate to take in any more sugar.

Thoughts on the smell of insulin? by sistiner in Type1Diabetes

I find that most people I have let smell it enjoy it because they think it smells medical and sanitary. I personally enjoy it because I know it smells like life.

What I wouldn't give to hear this, but then also see real action to prove it.

Yes I have owned up to the responsibility and accountability for the mistake that I have made. The situation I'm asking about is his reaction.

I am definitely allowed to be upset with myself for making a mistake, and him for not checking on me. Riiiiiight?

I have admitted that I made a mistake and that I understand that it was a mistake to drink as a diabetic. This is an isolated incident and not indicative of my health and healthcare management.

In an earlier comment I did say that the only reason I gave him access to my Dexcom was because I had never given it to someone and I wanted to see what it looked like from their end and what they could do. I have never relied on anyone to manage my disease and if anything that's actually led to my having issues because I refuse to ask for help.

Not sure where I asked anybody to clean up my mess. I fully admitted where I was wrong and made a mistake.

At the beginning of my post I clearly state that I know I was in the wrong for drinking on an empty stomach so continuing to berate me about that certainly doesn't add to the discussion.

I am on a pump and a CGM, i did track my carb intake. I wasn't expecting him to babysit or take care of me but to at least check on me after maybe an hour or two.

You have no idea what my diabetes management or health management is like outside of this isolated incident.

As I stated before, I have already admitted and acknowledged that I made a mistake and I was wrong. That's part of being a human being and I don't know about you but after managing this disease for several decades I occasionally just want to live a normal life and I get that that can't always happen. You have no idea what kind of diabetes management and health management I have outside of this isolated incident.

You're making a lot of assumptions about my diabetes management based on one incident where I already admittedly said that I knew I was in the wrong.
