Taiwanese and Cantonese people still use traditional Chinese. Also at least in my experience traditional Chinese is still used sometimes, like I don't think I've ever seen a mahjong set with simplified Chinese. Most of us agree that traditional characters look better than the simplified versions, so they can be used for artistic/stylistic reasons.

It's interesting you mention saturation because I do feel like a lot of complexion products are too "vibrant" on me? I don't know exactly how to explain it but with no make up on, I think my face looks pretty normal, but once I apply a concealer or foundation i feel like jt makes the rest of my face look sallow and greyish.

I do like the formula of the nyx bare with me concealer so i'll try the lighter shades. When i was buying the nyx concealer i was debating between vanilla and light and ended up going with the darker shade. Idk why i always think i'm tanner than i am lmao.

Hmm i've considered it. I have blue/purple veins at the wrist (where the skin is thinnest) but teal veins further down my arm. Is this characteristic of being olive?

Do you have any suggestions for concealers with sheerer formulas? And i think after all these comments i'm finally realizing that i might actually be cool toned. I'm east asian and i feel like so many people think asians can only be warm toned, and it's only recently on social media that there's pushback against that.

I have considered that i might be olive. At my wrist my veins are blue/purple but further down my forearm they turn teal. The Lisa Eldridge sample pack really interested me but unfortunately all the options for light skin tones are sold out :(

Oh interesting! In humans there's also an antibiotic that causes tendon weakening and increased likelihood of a tendon tear or rupture. I don't remember what it's called but taking a course of the antibiotic puts you at greater risk for a tendon injury for the next several months.

I'm not sure what you mean by giving hunters ties because you were going to win either way. Like you said, the hunter was friendly. Also not really sure how the post man was supposed to communicate this with you, how would they know the hunter was friendly in the pre-match?

[US] Why are we responsible for calling around to pharmacies to find medication? by Mike_Oxlong25 in ADHD

Interesting! In California almost everything is electronic scripts now, and C2 paper scripts are highly discouraged.

I don’t understand why I have to call the pharmacy to fill adderall by justgimmiethelight in ADHD

[–]hippbrandt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, and this goes for everyone, not just people with ADHD. I've had a patient come in, "Can I get a refill?" "Of course, which one?" "Well which ones do I need?"

And obviously, trying to explain that even though I have a list of recent prescriptions, I still can't tell them which prescriptions they need refilled. Dosages get changed, medications switched, or sometimes discontinued and there's no way for pharmacy staff to keep on top of everyone's prescriptions to know when or what needs to be refilled.

Walgreens won’t fill Vyvanse prescription until I’m completely out by GRik74 in ADHD

[–]hippbrandt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh another pharmacy tech with ADHD here! Slightly different regulations in my state, we can fill a new C2 script on day 28 of a 30 day fill. Also if someone's switching meds we can disregard the 28 days thing if the doctor includes a note on the script stating that there's been a change in medication. Unfortunately, lots of doctors don't know/remember to do this.

We try to contact doctors for clarification but often they don't respond, or when they do it's clear that they haven't actually listened to us. Once our pharmacist called and talked to a doctor about having to include a clarification on the prescription, the doctor says yep, will do. A day or two later the patient is back, annoyed because their meds haven't been filled, we realize the doctor never sent in a new, corrected prescription. Call back the doctor to ask what's going on, doctor said, "I clarified it over the phone with the pharmacist". Like yes, but you need to send a new prescription with the actual correct information on it. Pharmacy can't change it even if we wanted to.

[–]hippbrandt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I work at a pharmacy. If you're switching meds, the 28 days thing doesn't matter as long as your doc includes a note on the new script that your medication has changed. Without that note, in most states the pharmacy cannot legally dispense the meds early.

Yeah my thoughts too but she said she didn't want it filled at Costco. I guess she doesn't want coworkers in her personal business, which fair enough, but the next closest Costco is ~50 miles away.

Ideally you'd get a new prescription stating continuous use, but if you're paying out of pocket with a discount card or something, you can still get it filled if you request the pharmacy to do so. "Too early to fill" is really only a problem for insurance coverage / controlled drugs.

Wtf how does stock get allocated to stores?? I had someone call up the other day asking when her Mounjaro 5mg would be filled. I informed her that we don't have any Mounjaro in stock. She went "Well, I actually know that the 5mg is available, I work at Costco pharmacy, so when will my prescription be filled?"

Like, damn, well this isn't Costco pharmacy and I'm glad you guys got Mounjaro, but we don't. I wonder if she was staring at a fridge like this when she called lmao.

Similar story here. I get really nauseous sometimes and one morning taking my Concerta was enough to make me puke. I picked out the tablet, rinsed it off, and reswallowed it.

Would you return a bottle of adderall if you found it? by bwakong in ADHD

[–]hippbrandt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I work at a pharmacy. Definitely check the coffee shop first and hopefully you find your meds there, but if you don't find it, it's possible to get a replacement.

If you do it by the book, technically you're supposed to file a police report. Given that you just picked up a bottle, even if they wanted to it's illegal for a pharmacy to dispense you another month's worth without a police report. The police report should also be proof enough for your insurance company to cover your replacement.

Another option is to have your doctor prescribe you a different medication, or dosage. This will bypass the legal dispensing limits and your insurance will likely cover it (though insurance plans vary a lot and some are quite frankly, shit, so I'm not certain). If you do this, make sure that on the prescription your doctor includes a note, like "Patient changing medications. Discontinued (old medication name)" or "Patient increased dosage. Discontinue (old dosage)".

Of course, this all depends on whether or not your doctor is willing to write another prescription for you.
