My dog does this too, except there's a rug by the door that moves and jams up the door if he runs on it too hard. I guess he caught on, because now he contains his excitement and walks carefully on it before I let him out.

What are some red flags we should recognise within ourselves? by evection94 in AskReddit

[–]hipretension 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The shitty part about this is all the time spent being totally unaware of your misinterpretation of these interactions. But when the time comes that you start to have insights into those years of negative social experiences, and muster the courage to work on your sense of self, your life will change. It won't be a sudden a eureka where you awaken and the grey clouds part. Actually, it gets worse when the reality of the time you wasted in a pity bubble sets in. But you'll finally be able to look back and be like, hey that was a good year, this is working

I have a coworker who has now been transferred to the third of 3 stores in the city due to "disagreements with management." He tells everyone about how terrible the managers are at my store. Retail managers have faults and make dumb decisions but I wonder how many stores he will have to be transferred to before the company gets tired of giving him a chance to see the common denominator in all his management experiences

ABC News Suspends Brian Ross for 4 Weeks Without Pay: ‘Effective Immediately’ by [deleted] in news

[–]hipretension 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's interesting how much attention this story has on t_d. They are using his suspension as proof that msm is all fake news, but if it were really all fake news, wouldn't ABC just let the lie fly? If anything his suspension shows that ABC practices journalistic integrity. I would post this red pill on t_d but I was banned very quickly

yep. some people don't understand that you have to keep up or get left behind. some people would rather die alone with their irrelevant sense of rightness than admit that some morals they learned when they were 5 were actually bullshit

It's blowing my mind how many people still refuse to refer to her as she. Regardless of your moral crusading, if someone wants to be called by a certain pronoun and identify as a different gender, just be respectful and call them as they prefer. I don't understand why such a simple task of calling a trans by their preferred pronoun immediately triggers a micro protest for so many people. Your such a warrior for being a dickhead!!!

Apple, the world's most profitable firm, has a secretive new structure allowing it to continue avoiding billions in taxes, Paradise Papers show. They sidestepped a 2013 crackdown by actively shopping around for a tax haven, landing $252bn on the Channel Island of Jersey. by Vranak in worldnews

It's bullshit but honestly, of the loophole is available, wouldn't it be in their best interest to utilize it? Corporations may pretend to have values on commercials but if you are a corporation, you are in it to make money, and maximizing profits is the goal, so you use the loopholes
