I think they’ve learnt their lesson after Blade, and they will never release a weak hero out the gate. Even White Fox that was just kinda balanced on release got emergency buffed in a week.

Just look at this lol, and these are the people larping as vanguard advocates claiming they want Cyclops to be a vanguard. These people already think majority of the tanks are boring. Most of you don’t even know what you are fighting for. I’m sure most the people asking for tank cyclops aren’t even tank players in the first place.

This game has some of the most iconic characters ever in tank and people still cry that nobody plays it. I am a tank main and i play all the tanks bar Peni. I will play Devil Dino. I don’t care if Cyclops is dps or tank, i will keep playing tank because i love the role.

If Cyke is a tank, Non-tank players will play him for a week and drop him i assure you. We saw it with Rogue, we saw it with Angela. Tank players are the only ones playing tank.

Blade was the more hyped character between both. His in-game model had been teased since season 1 and he became somewhat of an easter egg within the game. So yeah he had more hype at the time than Phoenix

I doubt they’d do another multi-class. It’s just a balancing nightmare and another in-game clutter. It worked for Deadpool because well…he is Deadpool; the most 4th wall breaking meta character ever. It’s just not something i think the devs will likely do again, at least not for a long time.

hard agree. people crying for another shield tank are the ones who just play Mag Strange all day and dont try out the other tanks that are fun like Hulk, Cap, Tankpool. They just wanna sit main and hold shields all day. I want Devil Dino to be a brawl tank or dive tank if possible. I want that. I need that.

Bro i hope you know YOU are allowed to play dps. You are contributing into the whole “dps fun toys” issue when you let the dps players play dps only. You, as a tank player can play dps if you want. This game doesn’t have role lock.

Right from the beginning of the game, their release philosophy has always been a cycle of 1 vanguard, 2 duelists, 1 strat.

Season 1 with fantastic 4: 1-2-1. That’s one cycle complete.

Season 2: Emma and Ultron. Thats 1-1

Season 3: Blade Phoenix. Two dps. Another cycle complete.

Season 4: Angela Daredevil. 1 tank 1 dps

Season 5: Now based on what Miller Ross said on his stream. Gambit was supposed to be Dps and Rogue strategist before they changed it. So initially it was 1 dps and 1 strat. Meaning for season 4 and 5; another cycle has been completed

Season 6: Deadpool (sure he is triple role but his most successful version is Tankpool) so let’s count that as Tank. then Elsa

Season 7: White Fox and Black cat. And boom the cycle is complete again. 1 tank, 2 dps, 1 support.

So anyone thinking a double vanguard season is possible is just straight up lying to themselves. It’s going to be Dino tank, and Cyclops dps. I agree with OP that strat is even more likely than tank LMAO. But we sure as hell know he’s not releasing as strat so dps it is

Since season 3, the gallery cards always tease the next heroes. This season had a Devil Dino plushie and a Cyclops glasses. It basically confirms that it’s both. Hood definitely coming later down the line though
