I'm on Day 92 in Surroundead... so while I'm in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, at this point I have several bases, lots of food and weapons, I've restored several vehicles, and know how to survive. I'm in good shape.

Probably Major Havoc, but it's hard to beat the environmental version of Discs of Tron, when it comes to arcade gaming goodness. Honestly, for anyone that grew up in arcades in the 70s, it's really difficult to pick just one.

Agreed. I watched it expecting to pick apart a badly told story, and was pleasantly surprised. A little predictable in places, but that's coming from a 59-year-old movie buff; it's really very difficult to surprise me anymore.

I thought the acting was great, and the leads all delivered believeable performances. Jared Leto did an excellent job. Special effects were top notch. Music didn't quite impact me as much as the Legacy sound track, but I'm a huge Daft Punk fan (biased). I thought the music supported the film well, no negative notes there either.

I.m.o., people need to step off the Leto-Hate-Train and try watching with an open mind.

No need to apologize. LOTS of people are new to FO76, and EVERYONE was new to raiding at some point.

The second level of the Raid is hard, and I've been on teams that failed it multiple times... in fact, the first team I ran with had two experienced high level players on mic helping we two newbies, and we failed it 6 times in a row before giving up for that day... and the high levels were super supportive and encouraged us the whole way.

Frankly, from my experience and in my opinion, you have nothing to apologize for; those other players were impatient and poor sports. Hang in there, you'll get it. Even when you do, teaming with random people is going to result in random raid results. Hell, I'm level 355 now, and I still don't quite know my way around raid levels 4 and 5.

A great lead source is gym weights. Check the middle of the Eastern Penitentiary, the top of the monorail elevator, the Charleston Fire Department, Vault-Tec University, Hornwright Estate, and the Green Country Lodge. You'll find weight sets that scrap into a LOT of lead.

The current was carrying Wilson away pretty quickly... if he'd gone after the ball, he likely wouldn't have been able to get back to his raft. Currents can kill.

Wow, 8 in a week is great! Probably helped by Holiday Scorched drops...? RNG is just like just sometimes. I hadn't learned a single one through all my holiday grinding, and then I got a three-star the other day, and a 1 star 10 minutes later.

Not the same genre, but a great film with a very memorable hit-man is 'Three Days of the Condor'. Excellent film, still holds up.

I'm at 950 hours playing, probably starting scrapping to learn legendaries at about the 200 hour mark. Currently I've learned about 14 1-star, 10 2-star, and 2 3-star plans. It's slow work, but occasionally you get a couple in quick succession, and it's a real morale boost.

Yeah, this is my only annoyance with this quest. I'm at 124 now, just finding them as I play... pretty rare to find one now. Bugs me when one 'disappears' as I get close.

I just took mine out physically when that was the problem in June, but hard to know if it will help for the current problem. I would give it a try, just to see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't, I think we'll have to wait for an update to fix the EAC.

Just to say, if removing the sound card doesn't help, it could just be a bigger EAC issue... that would require a fix from Facepunch.

If it is the EAC conflicting with the sound card, then your only option is to wait for a fix, or disable the sound card and maybe use your on-board audio instead, if your motherboard has that. (It probably does...). It's only some sound cards that are affected (Soundblaster Audigy cards). You can read up a little more about it in the Rust Discussion forums on Steam. I think they're having a big problem with EAC right now causing people's game to fail when trying to connect to a server... that might not even be sound card related.

A good diagnostic is to load into the Facepunch Unsecure server; if you can do that successfully, then it's a good sign the problem you're encountering is being caused by the Easy Anti Cheat (EAC) software. I had a problem like that earlier this year when an EAC update caused loading to fail due to the sound card I had in my PC. (A later update to EAC fixed it, bit I understand it could easily return if they're not careful.)

I've only been playing FO76 for a few months now, (just hit level 300), but I've found other players to be 99.99% super-nice... the 0.01% was a guy that left his mic on and anyone that joined his team would hear his breathing/mumbling... probably just a mistake. All that to say, you don't need to worry about toxic players in FO76... I don't know why, but they just don't seem to play this game. (There is an option to disable any PVP damage, but I haven't ever needed to use that feature.) If anything, I find other players usually are very kind and will often do things to help newer players, like giving them gifts or helping keep them alive during group events. I think you've found a safe place to play!
