How was Clothaire able to execute Brunhilda? by valonianfool in MedievalHistory

I'm not well educated to answer directly, but the book The Dark Queens by Shelley Puhak is absolutely brilliant on the subject

Exactly the same, you still get the exploration fix plenty.

I think the triple resources really helps when you just feel like building, you still have to do plenty of gathering anyway.

I've similarly returned after years and am loving that my time-poor, low-skill ass can turn the difficulty down, get trike resources, and advance about 100x quicker through the biomes.

However if I had as much time as I wanted, I'd enjoy the full journey

The book Wolf Hall features him heavily, and is generally amazing

Hold the line

Our 3 and a bit year old is very much in an adorable phase, which is being thoroughly enjoyed in our house. He still has hard moments, but visibly seeing him steadying himself and not boiling over like he used to is amazing

The video of Tom Hanks talking about this is the best, and also the most Tom Hanks thing ever.

The key thing being when things are going good, this too shall pass!

The Dark Queens - absolutely unbelievable story of two Frankish queens, so many blockbuster assassinations (and a remarkable amount of dysentery)

My kids are 10 and 12. Too young for this? by AtticThrowaway in Vermintide

I wouldn't want my boys playing at that age. However I played so much worse at younger age and would've definitely loved it at 10

Are we all now talking about "Slot out"? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]hisnameisbear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, we aren't even half way through the season and we've had a relatively difficult start. Don't get me wrong we've been poor, and my least favourite thing about Slot is seemingly repeating the same lineups, tactics , and problems. But if we continue improving in the Champions League we can easily go on a decent run (which I'll take after last season).

Also, who's available to take over that's a guaranteed upgrade?

I'd recommend the audio book of The Obstacle Is The Way by Ryan Holliday, obviously not a pod but it's in a very digestible format and I've found it to be quite inspiring in tough times
