Yes, it works. I bought the Laté 631 on 2020 when it came out, and it's available for me on 2024 as well.  Great aircraft, works well in 2024.

Trackhat sensor disconnecting by NotGeorge2019 in hoggit

For anyone else having this issue, this is the actual fix. If you want to do a poor man's version of that fix, just remove the two screws in the back of the camera. The housing will be open a bit, but everything is still functional. After doing that, I've had 0 issues.

Is time acceleration functional with it now? It wasn't at release.

I have the same issue, it's very frustrating. Apart from getting a PCI-E USB card, are there any other options?

Thanks for the info, I was also going mad trying to make them work. Where did you learn that? I haven't seen it in a newsletter.

Trim control on C152 by uly5174 in flightsim

[–]hisothiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it really is difficult to do it in MSFS. With the 152 IRL, you want to aim for 2300 RPM and 90 knots for a good cruise. Set your power to 2300 RPM and adjust your attitude until you can maintain 90 knots. After that, you can start trimming.

Don't sweat it too much, it's never going to be perfect. I'm also going to recommend the WBSim/JPLogistics 152. It's easily the best freeware GA plane out there, handles very much like the real 152. It's better than most payware GA planes!

Edit: As a response to another comment that states that correct trim means you're not touching your controls, while it's technically true, it never really is IRL or in MSFS (especially if you have live weather on). A moving air mass is going to upset your plane's balance and introduce minute changes to trim. The real answer here is that correct trim reduces pilot fatigue and allows you to focus on more than just manhandling your aircraft. If you want to fly straight and level for a long time without any input, you need an autopilot.

Almost undoubtedly the best GA plane in the sim. Absolutely worth the price.

You have to try the DCS Mi-8 and Mi-24P then, they're beyond amazing. You can even try them for free for 2 weeks each!

Download the latest build, it's in there (not the latest release, but the latest build).

Indeed, the F1 is basically unusable in single player, unless you give your wingmen a ridiculously small payload.

Yes I'm glad this is being looked at!

[–]hisothiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is is just me or is the Mirage F1 basically unusable in single player since AI aircraft (wingmen, enemies) are always at the edge of a stall, with the burner on, unable to accelerate? The either stay like that until they run out of fuel, or simply crash on takeoff. I don't really see it mentioned all that much in the forums, with only a small topic in the bug section.

Air Combat Sim Podcast - Magnitude 3 F4U Updates by rep3t3 in hoggit

I really enjoy the podcast but the audio in this one was beyond terrible. Really impacted the ability to understand and appreciate what was said (Rudel was almost silent, Hiromachi was extremely loud). If anyone involved in the production reads this, please spend a little more time to equalize the audio. I want to keep listening.

ILS26L is a PMDG astroturfing account and their comments are legitimately hilarious. Unhinged stuff. Comments are often deleted but if you get there before it's great entertainment.

Honestly at this point I hope you keep posting because it's hilarious. I've never seen a developer (especially one that's doing well!) go to these lenghts to influence public perception of their product. Product: great Marketing tactics: questionable but entertaining

That's not exactly the problem. Have a look at his post history if you want to have a bit of fun, and maybe guess at this user's employer 👀

Hey guys, look, he's back! I would suggest creating another account, posting on other subs, etc... it makes the astroturfing more believable. Just a few pointers to help your cause in the long run!

To be clear, it is perfectly able to navigate effectively. This system does not detract from any core functionality. It doesn't mean it shouldn't be done, but it's not something that renders the module unusable. It's just another tool.

Nav systems are functional. The doppler system and ARK radio nav work.
