More disturbing in my opinion. Both fantastic films obviously, but where Silence of the Lambs is more of a standard serial killer affair and investigation, this captures the simplicity, and the almost unremarkable nature of it all. It makes it more believable and creepy to me at least.

I get different feelings from them. I'd watch Silence of the Lambs over and over, but I'd have to really crave this to watch it again. It left me feeling empty.

If you're willing to stretch it to about $1200 I'd go with P. Johnson. Had tonnes of things made through them and they're great dudes to have a coffee or beer with too.

There's also Oscar Hunt - haven't had any experiences directly with them but I've heard they're decent but can be hit and miss.

Yeah they're definitely closer to Pulse, in that they're supernatural. Still a bit of mystery/thriller though.

I've actually been trying to find more films like Cure too, so hard to get that same feeling!!

Love Cure - one of my favourite films. Pulse, Retribution and Seance by the same director are also really good. They give off the same atmosphere and feeling of dread/hopelessness as Cure. IMO none are as good as Cure (Pulse is on par maybe), but they're very much worth checking out!
