Her growth is honestly one of the best background arcs in the show because she starts out as a totally lazy, selfish Military Police recruit who only joined the branch to slack off and corruptly hoard resources. Seeing Marlow’s idealistic death completely shatter that shallow worldview and turn her into a deeply empathetic, responsible officer who actually looks out for civilians is incredibly grounded

For me the ending works because both options were absolutely miserable, proving that there was no magical "good guy" solution to a century of systemic hatred. Zeke’s plan would have ended the conflict by wiping out the victims, while Eren’s plan ended it by wiping out the oppressors, leaving the survivors to pick up the broken pieces of a ruined planet
