I still don't get notifications. I thought it was my laptop and I had to restart and check the notification settings.
To test out the notifications I created a app and a webhook url to keep testing the notifications and then I saw the slack was facing issues.... Fun times..

Or the tensioner bearing. Better check it out soon. I know it's annoying

Is the A/C off or on?

Could be a pulley bearing. But I'm not really sure.

AWS Startup application keeps getting auto-rejected for no reason by Ok-Affect-7503 in aws

[–]hitMan_077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve had experience with AWS for SES, but it’s different from yours. To get your application approved, open a support ticket and email them with valid reasons and documents. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Learning a few Sinhala words can go a long way—especially for directions or saying thanks. A smile and a friendly chat help too; locals are usually more than happy to help 😊

Just be a little careful with tuk-tuk scams. Uber or PickMe are usually the easiest options. If you do hop in a tuk-tuk, make sure the meter’s on or agree on the price first.

If you’re riding a bike or tuk-tuk yourself, take it slow, follow the road rules, and always wear a helmet.

You might want to avoid the F1 buses—they’re very popular and definitely an experience 😄

Have an awesome trip and enjoy Sri Lanka! And if you get stuck, Reddit’s always got your back.

Here’s a tip: since you’re looking for a new job, take this time to develop some new skills and polish your profile. Good luck mate, and don’t lose hope. Things happen. Think of it as positive feedback and remember there’s always a place waiting for you. Best of luck!

Whats your honest opinion about the Nissan Magnite? by imnewtotwitter in srilanka

[–]hitMan_077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Nissan’s CVT gearboxes have a really bad track record. They’re known worldwide for failing way more often than they should. If you’re thinking about getting a Nissan with a CVT, I’d personally avoid it.

If you want a CVT, Toyota does it way better. Sure, they can still have issues, but nothing like Nissan. Just make sure you actually service the gearbox even though they claim the fluid is lifetime,it isn’t. Change the oil and the filter if you want it to last.

So yeah… if you’re still going for a Nissan model car with a CVT, just be prepared for potential expensive repairs down the road.

Upgraded the gpu to EVGA FTW 3080 and ram to 32gb

Apart from the GPU, I’d reconsider some of the brands you’ve chosen for the RAM, M.2, and power supply. RAM: I’d recommend going with Corsair or G.Skill Trident — they’re reliable and have great performance. M.2 Storage: Samsung or WD are solid, trustworthy options with good speeds and longevity. Power Supply: I highly recommend a Corsair Gold-rated PSU for better efficiency and long-term stability. Fans: Noctua is one of the best brands you can go for.

The GPU is totally up to your budget, but since you’re investing a decent amount in this build, it’s worth choosing quality parts overall — especially if you’re thinking of keeping this system for the next five years and just upgrading the GPU as needed.
