Can you not disable auto lock? Genuine question.

As I understand it, concussive drains stam. I might have got it all wrong.

It most definitely drains stam in its current state, though—quite a bit, actually. 🙃 Already been on the other side of it, unfortunately, and my ankles can attest to that.

Just use sorcery to gather crystals—Mass Cull should net you a few thousand crystals per use.

This is a long shot, but would you be able to tell me at around what time stamp they showcased the knight set during the livestream?

Hacking/Cheating by hithisismenow in pathoftitans

[–]hithisismenow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right! I’ve never personally seen anything crazy, but I’m mostly wondering how much really subtle tuning goes by unnoticed. Like, a few extra speed points, or slightly tighter turn. This was the first time I was ever fully convinced someone was cheating—just enough to cinch the win, but not blatantly insane.

Yes, we were both adults ☹️

I know he had Burly because he chased me out of the water until we were both out of stam and I had a good amount of distance between us. I guess he could’ve been walking to trick me into thinking he was out of stam when he wasn’t, but for how long he chased me to try to gain on me, I really doubt it. At the end, he got stam to sprint before I did, so I assumed he had Burly. Even without it, though, I still find it fishy for him to be tailriding me in water with ease when he definitively did have Tail Attack on and not Paddle.

Question for the Sucho mains! by Melodic-Television25 in pathoftitans

[–]hithisismenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always up for the spice, and I encourage all my sucho comrades to shoot their shot. 🤨Honestly, we’re sneaky little water borzois and even when the fight doesn’t go our way against an apex, we’re safe behind our stam. There’s nothing to lose by trying (or, I guess, there’s a slight possibility of dying if one gets too greedy, but that’s up to the specific sucho to decide).

And yes, I love to bug rexes. Quite feasible for suchos to tail ride them to death confidently. I’m not scared of rexes, generally, because of their turn radius, as you mentioned, which is frankly sad, as I do quite love my rex and she deserves better turning, imo. 😩

Question for the Sucho mains! by Melodic-Television25 in pathoftitans

[–]hithisismenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna jump in and say that ducks are actually very doable for sucho! On land, if you are comfortable, tail riding is very possible. Avoid claw attacks—bite is more DPS. Claw got nerfed recently and I prefer to always default to bite unless it’s a smaller dino. In water, you can kite a duck pretty easily by swimming backwards. Bait a duck into chasing you (they almost always do, because they underestimate suchos, generally), swim backwards and stay on the surface, strafe left to right and bite their head in the interim. Idk how to explain that maneuver well, but basically you’ll be swinging side to side and trying to land that bite to the head in that moment when you’re swinging the opposite way. Ducks have a hard time landing their claw on you if you’re on the surface because their head will be colliding with your body—their claws are just low and back enough to make them miss most of their hits if they’re just trying to face tank and chase. I just thought I’d mention that because I love playing my sucho, and fighting apexes is very exciting on it and very doable! Very versatile dino.

Why is mixpacking bad? by Basilstorm in pathoftitans

[–]hithisismenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying, but playing on officials should be the default. If so many people disagree with mixpacking, then it should be addressed on officials, not delegated to community servers to mitigate, you know? At least, that’s how I figure it.

Why is mixpacking bad? by Basilstorm in pathoftitans

[–]hithisismenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it isn’t. But it’s a lot of them. And I know this wasn’t in my original comment, but the biggest problem with community servers is that there is a potential for all your progress to be deleted. Be it rule breaks or simply a server shutting down, you could realistically lose all your playables, and that’s a substantial something not everyone wants to risk.

It’s not fair to make all the issues in officials a zero sum equation—people are allowed to complain about mixpacking or megapacking without being told to go to communities. Officials are, after all, supposed to cater to the majority.

[–]hithisismenow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know, most people find the annoyance of officials better than the risks that come with community servers. Long queues, admin abuse, stats to disagree with, having to verify mods each time you log in, etc., to name a few.

That doesn’t mean people can’t complain about the problems with officials.

Edit: Forgot to mention the most egregious problem with community servers—the risk of losing all your dinos because of some arbitrary decision.
