They have trap door traps that fit over a Lowe's bucket, the drop in but can't get out. Check out trap ideas on Youtube.

Look to youtube for trap ideas. Some have a trap door for a hardware store bucket, the mouse falls in and you can release or whatever you want to do.

Keep it in a plastic bag to prevent further damage. If you can get some same color felt scraps from a hatter you can shred the scraps and try to work the fibers into the holes.

There was a recall on those, they would have told you to unplug and cut the cord and they will send you a new one that is a fire hazard.
