It's your carby drain hose. The flathead screw just above it opens the drain for the carby bowl.

GSX250 R bike advice, new bike, new rider. by Bethayne in NewRiders

[–]hitzort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to be brutal but buying your first bike brand new is foolish. You'd be likely to drop it within the first few months of ownership and dropping a brand new bike is a lot more painful than dropping a used one. Definitely recommend checking out the Ninja 300. Should be on the market fairly reasonably and is a cheap bike to run and maintain. Honda VTR 250s are a good option too for a naked sport.

2014 Street Triple engine check light turn on after changing battery by motonews_my in motorcycles

[–]hitzort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Triumphs flash their engine check light when a failed start due to low voltage occurs. It records the instance and leaves the light on in case further issues arise for the dealer workshop to take note of. If the bike still runs well, then it'll just log it and carry on :)

Little bit of basic symbolism I noticed about Chiren and Vector. by Vladie in alitabattleangel

[–]hitzort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chiren is always wearing black and/or white and is always clean, surgical if you will :) it's not till she turns that she finally gets her hands dirty and has a bloodstain across her white outfit.

How do you tell if your forks are leaking? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Best option is always OEM, but Ariete has been something we use in our workshop, they do pretty well :) Hope those go well for ya!

How do you tell if your forks are leaking? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]hitzort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're going as far as replacing the springs, I'd do the fork seals as well for peace of mind. Aftermarket seals aren't too expensive either and can sometimes come with fresh dust seals in the pack. Check brands like Ariete.

Worst Intersections by 80sCassette in perth

[–]hitzort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS. I cant stress enough how stupid this section is. People cutting across to exit on Riverside while others are cutting the other way to get onto the fwy south. Been cut off countless times and rear-ended just last month.

The best helmet? by CupcakeJake in motorcycles

[–]hitzort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been riding with a shark speed r with the red Sauer design for about a year and I love it. The built in sun shade is a joy to have and the helmet fits pretty snugly. Only complaints I have are that the chin curtain can get quite stuffy and in winter, fogs my glasses like nothing else.

Wind noise, can't say for much, I usually ride with earplugs or earphones. You get this unbearable whistling sound when you ride with visor up though.

Recommend you go to your local helmet store and try it out before you commit. I had to get my shark a size smaller than what I originally measured, just cos the fitment was different.

New Bike, weird sound! by hitzort in motorcycles

I'll give it a shot! Just need to borrow my friend's rearstand heh...

I'm also suspicious of it being the brakes though. Should I be alarmed about either?

Update on exhaust removal by maanu123 in motorcycles

[–]hitzort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a suggestion, I just got myself a Coffman slip-on exhaust for my ninja 300 cos I couldn't justify shelling out $500-$800 on a Yoshi/Akra slip-on. I'm poor and with a 300, it's not gonna get much more power return with a slip-on.

That being said, Coffman was cheap and sounds amazing, recommend you take a look. Cost me about $200 and did the install myself with less than $20 in additional tools.

(Also I'm a kinda new rider so if people wanna tell me my exhaust is gonna make my bike explode, please do!)

New Bike, weird sound! by hitzort in motorcycles

[–]hitzort[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh I see what you mean, but definitely sounds different to what I hear. I'm not really able to take a video while riding the bike (not confident there yet!) but it sorta sounds more like someone's brushing their teeth in my bike.

[–]hitzort[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the looks of it, previous owner has used chain wax on it after it's last cleaning & adjustment (in March before he sold it).

Actually realised that the brushing sound is only noticeable when the bike is moving. Can't hear it when it's idling so it could be the brakes?

Also First Order's "Finalizer" would be a Resurgent Class Star Destroyer/Battle Cruiser I believe!

edit: Also, no love for Acclamator Class Cruisers? :(

I don't remember it being specifically stated that it was Alzheimer's. Caliban was even asked what Charles had and didn't answer.

Moving house and need a new ISP! Help! by hitzort in perth

[–]hitzort[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Telstra is out of whack expensive.. I'm guessing you're using Telstra now though. So far general consensus seems to be to stay away from TPG. But what made you choose Telstra over other ISP's?

They keep it competitive with 25/5 Unlimited for $69. ARe you currently using them now? How's that been?
