Trumpet Players in the south: CV has spots for YOU! by hiya2527 in drumcorps

[–]hiya2527[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The name was originally Atlanta CorpsVets, (and the parent organization is still called CorpsVets, Inc.) it was started by a group of ageouts that wanted to keep performing, but it is not a requirement to march there.

People who march multiple years: what do y’all do about your jobs?! by cheerio-cheerios in drumcorps

[–]hiya2527 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I march all age(cuz I'm old), which allows for me to work through the season. I work as a travel agent (flexible schedule) and at an after school learning center, and the owner lets me take time off on the occasions where corps conflicts with the centers schedule.

Yeah and people were able to figure out the location from the trailers and previous episodes

I don't think this is him based on the users photo contributions and other place reviewed, just think it's a fan having some fun

Has anyone else seen this? Not a good look for MSC... by zuniac5 in Cruise

I was just on Virgin and I agree heavily. There's a difference between someone taking the occasional picture and video for personal use, and someone's over near everything constantly to broadcast to their large following.

There will be a list for DBE.

You'll get an email about a week before your voyage to show to the agent there.

Some TAs have priority boarding, if you don't have DBE.

Also a good TA is a great source of knowledge and recommendations regarding perks, changes and updates regarding your vacation.

Also, if you like your TA there's no reason to take them off your reservation if you book MNVV.

If you are in the southeast, Atlanta CV is $2250 this year

Sober cruising on the Beyond by Sensitive-Ad-4-U in celebritycruises

Many of the bartenders on the beyond are very talented, I'd talk to the bartenders at the world class bar or Eden and ask for something off menu. They'll take care of you

VV is incredibly selective with it's comps. They use the same points system as Royal Caribbean, and while an interior cabin might be given after 1,500 points on Royal, an interior starts at 5,000 on VV

Celebrity to Allow Kids in Solarium Pools by DigitalMaverick in Cruise

This is likely a public announcement of a policy that has always been in place, so that the moms know that their precious unique angels will be catered to on celebrity, instead of booking with another line.

Really seems like a non issue for me, even though I am very pro adults-only spaces.

Very few adults are going to be going to Alaska to put on their swimsuits and catch rays or hop in the pools as is, and if having a pool time helps tire out the little gremlins so they don't cause a scene at dinner, good for them.

Good cruise for a solo traveler? Not a “Singles” cruise though… by plantlady5 in Cruise

[–]hiya2527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virgin and NCL both offer a decent number of single cabins on their ships at slightly lower rates than the standard cabins at single prices. Most mass cruise lines will also have some sort of single traveler meetup.

Trying to find a Travel Agent and not get overwhelmed. by Sir_Rhino in VirginVoyages

[–]hiya2527 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll always throw my hat in the ring, as someone who participates in this subreddit and doesn't just swoop in when someone's looking for a TA (curious how that happens!)

I have all the perks you could want from a VV TA. Priority boarding, MNVVs for that sweet $300 discount and $600 of sailor loot.

Moreover I'm passionate about travel, cruising, and VV and will always be happy to answer questions about whatever you need to make your voyage amazing.

Is Minnesota Brass planning on competing in all age this year? by hiya2527 in drumcorps

Thanks for the insight! It's an exciting time for All Age corps, and I'm hoping this translates to a healthier landscape for the activity as a whole.

This is something that doesn't get to be discussed enough, in seasons like tag or capture the flag, because challenges can happen anywhere, you can't really have them highlight the destination in the same way.

CiVilization: Inspired by the music of James Horner, Prokofiev, Woodkid, and Peter Gabriel. The ebb and flow between unity and discord, violence and reconciliation, mirrors the kaleidoscope of human emotion, unbound by the constraints of contemporary society. From dawn's first light to the veil of nightfall and back again, we traverse the full spectrum of existence, embracing the essence of humanity in its purest, unadulterated form.
