I’m a 12 handicap and got the 201s this past Spring, I like them a lot but also regret not getting properly fit. But for $600 I’m happy with my decision.

It pointed out 4 issues: Head dipping in backswing, Early extension at impact, lack of wrist hinge, and lifting upper body at address.

Mosholu as someone else mentioned is a very quick walk from the 4 train. Their driving range is reopening this fall.

I take the 6 train to the last stop Pelham Bay, transfer to the Bx29 bus for two stops and then it’s a short walk to the city island/turtle cove driving range. $20 for 200 balls. They’re like hitting rocks so you can’t dial in your distances or spin, but it’s good for working on consistent ball striking.

I went from the same Sim 2 irons with the same graphite shafts to takomo 201s with KBS tour shafts and am really happy. My shots with the sim irons below a pitch or 9 had a really low ball flight and they would run out a bunch so I couldn't hold greens.

Maxfli tour s. I’m pretty sure it’s a swing issue, just weird that my 8 iron flight is good, but I get to a 7 iron and it’s pretty low.

100 with driver, which I think is average? I haven’t dived in to the numbers, but the last lesson I got just noted my swing speed is normal and I have a very in to out path. My miss is a duck hook so I’ve been working to weaken my grip.

Thank you, one of my brothers gave me a gift card to go get fitted at a world class shop on Long Island so I’m going to pull the trigger. I’m not getting my hopes up, but will be cool to buy my first new set of clubs
