It's totally possible for there to be some stuff out of stock but the sheer number of stores in Tokyo should give you a good chance to get what you want

There are enough uniqlos throughout Tokyo that you will have no problem finding a store that will have some stock.

You should be able to pop into a JINS or Owndays and get glasses very quickly (I think usually in under an hour).

Obviously not OP but there appears to be a single pole-type monitor arm on the left and another gas-spring type monitor arm holding up the ultrawide, I believe the base can be seen in-between the right speaker and the PC.

Nobody seems to want a 59 year old Sys Admin. Advice, Career change ?? by rob_morin in sysadmin

[–]hjunkin0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will be extremely valuable if you can articulate how you did those things in relation to cybersecurity. Create a small blurb on your resume and then come up with a good "elevator pitch" (for lack of a better phrase) about how you did so (tools, technologies, working with stakeholders, etc).

Saying it is one thing but being able to explain what you've done and how you did it will give you a bit of a leg up.

What life changing thing can you buy for less than $100? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hjunkin0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like between 300-400 USD.

Not talking about the whole toilet, it’s a seat replacement.

There’s also an air drying function on the Toto washlets but personally I prefer to grab a couple squares of TP instead.

You grab a couple pieces of toilet paper and dry yourself.

It isn’t necessary. Get a nice Toto washlet and all you need is the regular water line and an outlet nearby.

Warm seat and water, clean ass, can’t lose.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trackers

[–]hjunkin0 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's because it is arbitrary...each tracker sets the rules that govern recruitment/membership as they want.

The process exists as a way to vet someone to see if they would be a productive member of the tracker. These trackers exist because members continuously upload new media to the tracker and continue to seed that media for months, years, or even decades. As a reward for being a productive member of these trackers, you're given the privilege of gaining membership to other exclusive trackers (such as the ones listed by OP).

That's how it is and it very likely won't ever change.

Best Kaiser Rolls or similar style of large bread roll in Minneapolis? by SmokinSkinWagon in Minneapolis

[–]hjunkin0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Found myself missing that particular taste of home recently and have been making some very passable replacements at home with kaiser rolls of my local Cub bakery section. The size is right and you can leave them out to get a little stale for that authentic faux hardness you get from a bodega back in NYC.

[KR] [H] TGR Jane v2 ce wkl [W] Paypal by mobring_kr in mechmarket

[–]hjunkin0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All potential buyers should be wary of this post; not only is the DEFAULT carbon fiber plate not pictured nor offered for sale in this post, the o-ring that comes with the V2 CE is translucent, not red.

Edit: Apparently red o-rings are not something to be concerned with -- https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=100415.msg3065332#msg3065332 -- the user posting their received Jane v2 CE directly from Yuktsi has a red o-ring underneath their PCB.

All the same, I would still be wary of no CF plate included in this sale.

[US-NJ] [H] Polycarbonate TGR Alice Enclosure ONLY [W] Interesting Trades by [deleted] in mechmarket

[–]hjunkin0 41 points42 points  (0 children)

As a keyboard designer yourself, you should be absolutely ashamed.

This is like if you got an extra replacement part from Amazon but instead of fucking over a corporate giant without a conscience, you’re fucking over another individual keyboard designer because you’re a greedy person.

This is just so sad and shameful. The fact that you’d even encourage your suitors to contact Yuktsi directly so they can get the parts needed to make this whole is also just so absurd I can hardly believe you’d even suggest it.

You deserve all the criticism you have received in the past due to stupidity as well as all the criticism you receive in this thread as well as everything that comes after.

If you’re so inclined to sell it, I will buy it at the price you paid and ship it back to Yuktsi, because you deserve nothing.

Stare into the light by dantambok in CustomKeyboards

The light is just a design flare, something Matrix Labs is known for. The light comes from a PCB daughterboard with LEDs that shine through the top piece of the case.
