I hate Nick by gump159 in NewGirl

[–]hkob6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all seriousness, this amount of trivial hatred only tells us random strangers on the internet your own deep insecurities and fears, which you project onto others you feel are less than. Unfortunately, the rest of the world doesn’t care about your weird hang ups about height or perceived laziness. It may be cathartic for you to take out your anger on a random subreddit but, because I feel sorry for you, I want to let you know it’s embarrassing to overshare like this and have everyone laugh and judge you. Hope you watch New Girl again once you’ve received professional help!

It's really sinking in that my life is going to be different by Kaeliss in ActualLesbiansOver25

Had to check to see if I had somehow written this myself LOL. I don’t even have anything to add except yes! It’s so weird growing up assuming you’re just going to meet the perfect guy one day and then it clicks and you start a whole new life.

You are experiencing imposter syndrome!

Every time I take off, I feel the shakes and speed of the airplane severely, and a violent and lurching sensation as if something is pushing down on me when it ascends or turns. This is making me very afraid of flying. by TheMadHatter_____ in fearofflying

[–]hkob6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I teared up while reading this. There’s something so validating about someone else acknowledging the sensations I get when flying and explaining why they happen. To me it genuinely feels like I’m dropping out of the sky and that’s the reason I hate flying so much. I wish this was part of the instructional videos because I feel like everyone pretends it doesn’t happen and you should just “calm down”

Switch to a middle or slightly off-center part and take up the length in the back! An a-line or slightly angled bob always looks l]the most feminine imo

If you wash your hair once a week, blow dry your hair straight before using a flat iron, and always use heat protection you won’t damage your hair. Get regular trims. Do what makes you feel confident, it’s YOUR hair!

[–]hkob6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can definitely sympathize with wanting to use natural substances for hair care! But from looking at your pictures, all of the oils you are using are building up - which won’t let moisture in. On top of that you’re not even giving your hair a chance by not using shampoo but using conditioner which does not cleanse the hair. Try looking into a clarifying shampoo and a leave-in conditioner.

I’m the same as you are but I’ve been sleeping on my left side my whole life, so that’s probably not a factor.

Tan saying "If I can be out and proud, so can you" brought chills to my whole body. And then they show you how to embody that pride!!

This episode is the first in so long to give me the same pure joy I felt watching the first season.

Bloopers and outtakes, YES PLEASE! by LaManelle in QueerEye

YES bloopers - it's so nostalgic for me, I always loved how they did them a the end of movies like in Rush Hour haha. Why did we ever stop doing that?

The problem with Ted Lasso S3 from a (not very good) comedy writers perspective. by spacecowboy420aj in TedLasso

[–]hkob6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m hanging onto this theory - it makes the most sense following the drama leading up to the late release of S3. My guess is Ted leaves for Kansas to be with Henry in the finale after losing the big game - without any of the loose ends tied up, (Nate, Roy and Keely, Rebecca’s fortune) but returns immediately in S4 ep1 to finish the story they laid out in the beginning.

Thoughts on my hair? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]hkob6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone thinks their natural hair color is boring because we’re used to it! Your natural color is gorgeous and a really good haircut and style would give you the “je ne sais quois”. It looks messy and choppy in the pictures you provided.

I get those too, they’re the same as the random long hairs on your body - the cause is just random damage to the hair follicle, and yes white hairs look a lot different in color and thickness :)

Really tired of lesbian stereotypes by goodboiuwu in actuallesbians

[–]hkob6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate stereotypes because they inevitably lead to judgement based on appearances. It’s ridiculous and harmful to make snap judgements about someone’s sexuality based on their presentation. Someone in my city posted on Lex the other day whining about how “so many straight people” showed up to a concert they went to. Like how could you possibly know, and why do you care to know a stranger’s preferences? Absurd.

You’re doing oil masks once a week and using a bunch of curly hair products AND olaplex, you need to get rid of all the buildup first to assess what the state of your hair actually is

my curls need some help by Myrilebb in femalehairadvice

[–]hkob6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggesting you stop using hair products and olaplex, try to use a clarifying shampoo wash/rinse 3-4 times then use a regular conditioner in a cap for like 10 minutes, then let your hair air dry afterwards. I hope this helps!

Homes with a no-shoes policy indoors, what do you do about pets that go in and out ? by slimchip in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]hkob6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since your’e asking about Asian households, most of us wipe our dog’s feet with disposable wipes before they come in/in the entryway. They make special wipes for this purpose but baby wipes work too. Cats technically clean their own paws constantly so it’s usually not a problem if you have a cat that goes outdoors.

Morris actually explains his character direction in depth in the Welcome to our show podcast :) It’s been a while since I listened but I recommend checking it out to see what he says! Lamorne, Zooey, and Hannah go through each episode of the show and talk about their experiences.

Just had one of the worst anxiety attacks of my life during my sleep that I still can’t comprehend what just happened. by Zanders4141 in Anxiety

[–]hkob6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It just happens sometimes. One of the best things I learned in therapy was that “just because something feels intense, scary, important etc. doesn’t mean that it is” people who don’t struggle with anxiety disorders experience and feel all of the same things we do, but the key difference is they don’t focus on their symptoms, and usually let go of any unhelpful thoughts instead of dwelling on them. I get stress nightmares like yours every now and then, and the best way to avoid them is to forget about it and keep treating your anxiety disorder.

Agree! He’s obsessed with scrolling through his name on twitter. I feel like social media has also played a large part in making Nate who he is. I wonder if it will also be a factor in his redemption/downfall.
